Well Monster Hunter and Dragon Quest are certainly good names to sell a console even if they're just ports.

I wonder if perhaps DQX Wii U is the "original" version with Wii's being the "port". It would make a lot more sense for them to dedicate as many resources to that version as possible, since they will certainly get more mileage out of it in the long term than the Wii release.

Just now watching the event. How many people groaned when they opened the software portion with Nintendo Land??

Where can you watch the NA presentation in its entirety? GT only had a 4 minute section!

Pleaseee D:

15 minutes of people sit around
the launch info you already know, awkwardly fumbled through
an excessively long demo of Metroid: Horde Mode
a small clip of Mario Wii U
Bayonetta 2 teaser (no gameplay, don't bother)
The Wonderful 101
a 20+ minute long TVii demo that you don't need to watch
a 60 second text-based title list sizzle reel
a 2-3 minute long game content sizzle reel

Bolded the 4 minutes you need to watch of the 1:15 presentation.

Definitely this. I think Nintendo TVii is cool, but the 1 minute trailer tells you just as much as the 20 minute presentation. But damn Wonderful 101 looks sexy.

So is there no hub for media and under the radar announcements ala the Fall Conference in 2010 for 3DS where games like Bomberman 3DS :)(), Tales of the Abyss and BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II were shown?

Now that the dust has settled I am pretty satisfied with what Nintendo showed yesterday. I can wait for more details on some of the stuff they left out. But the one thing that did disappoint me was the lack of anything that gave off a next gen vibe. Nothing they showed made me think "now this is a next gen game".

Reggie is a terrible president for NOA. Great marketing guy cause some of that stuff will be big with the mainstream. But godawful that most of it was people sitting around chatting.
