Oh god, seriously. I gave up on organizing my home screen a while back. It's a little bit ridiculous. It kinda makes me miss my old M3 card that I always carried around on my DS. Everything on the menu was organized into an alphabetical list. It wasn't pretty to look at, but a pleasure to navigate.

It seems DLC can have variable pricing.

As previously announced, Square Enix will be releasing eight download songs for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy at ¥150 per song. Act quickly, and you'll get somewhat of a discount. To commemorate the game's release, Square Enix said today that the songs will for a limited time cost ¥100 each.

It's unclear how long the lower pricing will last, so buyers may want to act quick (even though the game already ships with 70 songs built in).

I haven't used the 3DS eShop filtered search in a long time, but I played around with it just now and noticed there's a whole bunch of new genres under the Genre filter. A lot of them don't even have games/apps that fall under those categories (Social Networking, News, Weather, etc.). Sorry if old.

I also just found out there's a $2 "flash light" app for DSiWare under the "Other" genre, but it hasn't been advertised under the "Applications" store front category. I think Ninty might be ashamed of that one. I would be too. >_>

I want all ma games to have cool icons!

....and folders! FOOOOOOOLDERRRRRRSSSS? YOU HEAR ME NINTENDO? MY HOMESCREEN IS A CLUSTERFUCK!

F-O-L-D-E-R-S!

Totally agree. That bugged me on Wii too.

Let me group my NES games together in 1 folder, GBA games, system tools, etc. They can keep a similar environment, just let me clean up my software in a similar way (or better) as my iPhone please!

Just noticed that I can finally rate Nano Assault and that it's in the retail list. Hope that boosts some sales.

I'm still missing atleast Zoo Resort. What's the big idea in not having all titles listed? Kind of takes some fun away from ratings when you can't give/view opinions on all the games you've played.

The irony is that Iwata said they tried it and they didn't want to confuse the (Wii) users!!!!

:) I was asking for that!

Me too but reviews suggest it is bloody hard but generous with checkpoints so I think it's worth a punt!

Oh thanks :)

it's really not that difficult outside of 1 optional part (everyone who has played the game knows which part I'm talking about). If you can handle the spike deaths in a mega man game, you can handle the very worst of VVVVVV, because that's essentially what it's built around (and a clever flip mechanic), with instant respawn and, yes, generous checkpoints. (btw, in case you didn't notice, the name of the game is spikes. )

Wii VC: Strider (Genesis, 800 points)

I have been waiting for this since the VC service launched! Finally, one of my favorite Genesis games! This game, and Sword of Vermillion, holds a special place in my heart as it was the 1st time my parents let me pick the games I wanted for Xmas (in years prior they would just get whatever they thought looked good, usually licenced crap). Now, there was no internet at the time, but magazines were around and I heard great things about Strider and I thought Sword of Vermillion looked cool with its meshing of gameplay ideas (arpg-like battles, traditional rpg-like exploration, etc.). I ended up loving both games. Sword of Vermillion came relatively early on in the VC, but Strider has been a long time in coming.

Yeah, some early previews were very negative. I hope it fares better than those early impressions, because on paper it sounds pretty cool.

NoA is also releasing Super Mario Bros. for non-Ambassador 3DS owners today.

Was it the GBA games they said would "never" be available any other way?

I love the new SMB icon... they need to update the others asap. I wonder if the later consoles will have more modern televisions next to them? I suppose we're unlikely to get many N64 games and later via eShop though...

They didn't say "never", they just said they didn't have plans to release them.

But they obviously will, and we all know it.

SPOILER ALERT:

To anybody who's not beaten the RE:R Campaign mode yet: you may want to avoid the new RE:R 'Survival' trailer on the PAL store.

NINTENDO TEAMS UP WITH HULU PLUS TO OFFER THOUSANDS OF TV SHOWS AND MOVIES ON THE WII CONSOLE

Best-Selling Console Expands its Entertainment Options with More Popular TV Shows and Movies with Hulu Plus

REDMOND, Wash. and LOS ANGELES, Feb. 16, 2012 - Wii owners with broadband Internet access now have a new way to watch their favorite TV shows and movies. Starting today, Wii owners can subscribe to Hulu Plus for $7.99 a month and instantly stream current-season hit TV shows such as Family Guy, Glee, New Girl, Vampire Diaries, The Office, The Biggest Loser and Modern Family, as well as full back seasons of hit shows like Community and Grey's Anatomy. Kids can enjoy a growing library of favorites, including Arthur, Wild Kratts and Dinosaur Train, and families can browse through hundreds of popular movies from Miramax and more.

"Wii offers the most entertainment fun for everyone in the family, with an impressive selection of streaming movies and TV shows in addition to an unparalleled lineup of games that can't be played anywhere else," said Tony Elison, Nintendo of America's senior director and general manager of Network Business. "The Wii console is the hub of the living room, and with the addition of Hulu Plus, millions of households now have even more options for streaming premium TV shows and movies."

"We want to be everywhere, on every screen where people want to watch their favorite shows and discover new ones on their own schedule. Wii is not only one of the most important entertainment devices in the living room, but one of the most heavily anticipated and requested platforms by users and subscribers. Teaming up with Nintendo gives millions of households across the U.S. an immediate way to access some of their favorite current season shows on-demand in their living room through Hulu Plus," said Pete Distad, VP of Marketing and Distribution at Hulu.

Users who have a broadband Internet connection can visit the Wii Shop Channel to download the Hulu Plus application at no extra charge. The application will allow users to navigate using the Wii Remote controller and search for their favorite TV shows, movies, clips and more. Hulu Plus offers a variety of content, including Hulu Latino, which offers hundreds of hours of current and classic Spanish-language programming, including the entire current season of prime-time TV shows from Univision, Galavision and Telefutura.

For the first month of launch, users who download Hulu Plus for Wii and do not already have an existing Hulu Plus account will get a two-week free trial.

Hulu Plus is also coming to the Nintendo 3DS system later this year, bringing full current-season TV series and popular movies to entertainment fans whenever they want.

Man, I'll tell ya. Game demos are a real boon for business here for Nintendo. I went onto the e-shop for the 5th time in 24 hours looking for that darn Metal Gear demo and ended up double dipping on VVVVVV as a result. It was a spur of the moment, while I'm here sorta thing.

VVVVVV feels SO nice with this control setup. I tore through "The Tower" section this time getting both trinkets with minor loss of life.

Why did you need to check the eShop five times? :p

Is Rolling Western going to be released in NA next week? Of Nintendo's three notable eShop games (Rolling Western, Pushmo, and Sakura Samurai) Rolling Western has been the one I've been interested in the most.

It's also the oldest game of the three, as we've known about it since E3 last year.
