Niraj

I shot people I like more for less.
Thanks for the thread.

Busy month, grabbing AA6, DQ7, and possibly YW2.

Wooo, Ace Attorney 6 & possible new releases after the Direct tomorrow!

Might get Naitu Love if my budget allows for it, but like with Gunvolt 2, I might just have to wait for a sale.

A shame Shantae: Half-Genie Hero isn't coming out this month & is now delayed until Oct. 18th, but least that gives me more time to figure out if I can afford the physical version.

So, did the Wii U eShop music go back to the original version for anyone else, or is that just me?

I'm in NA, by the way.

EDIT: 3DS eShop, too.

Big month, Axiom Verge hooray. I'm excited even though I am not a super huge fan of Metroid.

Of course AA6, and I'll probably wait until later to jump on DQVII

This might be a dumb question but for Wii U VC games, can I use Wii Remotes for multiplayer? I'd really like to play some Bomberman with the family but all I have is a classic controller, Wii U Pad, and 2 remotes.

If it's something like NES where the Wiimote works as a substitute, then I'm pretty sure yes. But if it's SNES or another system with more buttons (like N64), then no.

Edit: I think this should be of help?

Axiom Verge month! :D And not long into the month to wait for it lol. :p

I'll be getting DQVII as well even though I probably wont be playing it for aaaages, gotta support the release as I really appreciate that it is actually getting a English release finally!

So many games this month... I won't be able to afford all that I want. Gotta leave some for next month.

Both of those games launch with a sale, so you got your wish. :p

No PR for NA, sorry.

Guess that confirms surprise release right after Direct. Question remains: what?

BOXBOXBOXBOY, surely. Or Mother 3.

Or my dream Nabbit stealth eShop minigame using the Capt. Toad engine. But I guess this is a 3DS-centric Direct, maybe they will use the Pushmo engine.

Mother 3 would be a GBA VC release, so it wouldn't be in the 3DS Direct. Probably in the NX reveal as a release for NX, though.

It's less likely for that reason, but not impossible. System-centric Directs IIRC previously have not always meant the other system won't be mentioned.

GBA VC on 3DS announcement! Yeah right :(

I'd pay good money for some of those titles. C'mon Nintendo, make it happen!

We could get GBA on N3DS VC, I think. It seems possible (from my very limited technical understanding). But I'm not sure they'd bother at this point.

Why wouldn't it be possible on the normal systems? There was the ambassador program, no?

The reason the ambassador games haven't been re-released for everyone is probably because they don't run to Nintendo's standards and they don't offer VC functionality like save states. AFAIK GBA games don't run easily on 3DS. N3DS may be a different story.

Software GBA emulation is impossible on Old 3DS.

Ambassador games aren't emulated, they run using hardware emulation which comes with a bunch of caveats.

WOW, didn't expect Skyward Sword to get added to the Wii U VC today.

Also yay, Picross 3D 2 on the eShop....wasn't expecting $30, but I guess it was a full retail game in Japan & a sequel to a retail game.

& hot damn, ANOTHER Streetpass update!

Watching the trailers for those games from Skunk.....Yeahhh I think they picked a good name for their studio. No offense if anyone here is from that studio.

Watching the trailers for those games from Skunk.....Yeahhh I think they picked a good name for their studio. No offense if anyone here is from that studio.

Let's see what we can glean from this Nintendaan preview of The Skunk Bundle. After a bizarre, awful sounding noise plays on the start up screen, we're treated to a horror game featuring:

• A "jumpscare" consisting of a JPEG popping up on screen... twice
• A misspelling of the word "useful" in the first 2 minutes of the game
• A creature who starts spouting lines from The Eagles' Hotel California... at which point you also realize that the unfitting background music is an [undoubtedly stolen] cover of the song.

At this point, the line between "obvious joke" and "genuinely shitty developer" has been blurred so much on the eShop that I really don't know which to peg them as.

Drancia Saga has some collaboration content with other games Circle has published, according to the trailer. It's cute. Trailer has a nice remix of a track from Legend of Dark Witch.

BEST MONTH!

I got Ace Attorney (NEXT WEEK), Severed and Yokai Watch 2 for sure to pick up. I also been thinking of maybe getting Dragon Quest VII, but I'm not sure if I would like it.

Plus my bday is also this month so I'll probably buy some old stuff I been meaning to play.

Only crappy thing about this month was that Shanate was pushed back, but overall STILL BEST MONTH.

Got a code for 30% off a download to celebrate my birthday. How widely useful is this? I'd been meaning to get Splatoon with a code like that but man, I should probably be pragmatic with DQVII.

$42 for Picross 3D 2, FML

I bit my lip and bought Rhythm Heaven for around the same, but ugh...

Ummm it's only applicable to select games, like a list of 10 or so. I think Splatoon was on my list when I got the offer in July, I already own Splatoon though.

Gives all the fucks
I got the code as well....but sadly, I pretty much already have everything that I want aside from Captain Toad. The only other game that's tempting is Puzzle & Dragons just to have that again & be digital.

Here's the list of games you can choose from:

- New Super Mario Bros. U
- Captain Toad
- Splatoon
- Super Mario Maker
- Xenoblade X
- Mario Kart 7
- New Super Mario Bros. 2
- Kirby Triple Deluxe
- Super Smash Bros for 3DS
- Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon
- Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam
- Puzzle & Dragons: SMB Edition

Ah, yeah, I see now.

Gotta chew on that but inclined to go Splatoon, which IS there.

The only things on this list I don't already own are Super Mystery Dungeon and Paper Jam, and I don't particularly want to delve into another RPG with DQVII coming out. I think my coupon may have to go to waste...

You could just put them on the backlog, but 30% off is not enough discount on games you only kinda sorta want in the first place. I am your voice of reason, hello!

Also, you changed your avatar - I still remember your legendary thread, hope this means you can laugh about the dumb stuff by now.

I am throwing money at the Streetpass Plaza, even upgraded to VIP now that there is an actual use out of it - time to hit the monthly Streetpass Meeting in my city with a 10+ queue and a cooking mini game!!!
Rhythm Heaven Demo!
Pikmin 1 and Picross 3D on VC!
Poochi amiibo!
Thank good I am starting a better paid job in October!!!

(Also there is DLC for Ace Attorney 6 in Japan, I couldn't watch the Direct - did they confirm the costumes for the West?)

Niraj

I shot people I like more for less.
I haven't had the heart to restart my Streetpass plaza since I lost all my data earlier this year, but the cooking game does kind of tempt me. Guessing it's the same developer as the fishing one? Had a similar vibe from what I saw.

Have to grab Picross at some point, been wanting that for ages. Coming up to a busy point though so wondering if I should hold off for now.

Holy poop, six games from one developer...and not even close to good ones, from what I see. Also, pretty sure some of them are ripping assets or using music unlicensed. <.<
