Until it's proven that it's real and not CG then you can't say it's stupid.
Especially with EDGE's FOX engine feature.
Well, whatever happens half of the people in here are going to be wrong if the poll is indicative of anything.
This thread has certainly been thoroughly entertaining though. I eagerly await the final word as to whether this is all real, all CG or a combination of CG and an actor; I'm sure the thread will be even more entertaining in hindsight. One thing I'm enjoying about it all is that there is even the possibility of it being CG which makes me look forward to the end of the next generation even more as graphics continue to improve.
EDIT:
Somehow i think that this guessing game is going to be more fun than MGS5.
This also. The amount of mystery surrounding the game itself is highly entertaining (even though I don't believe it'll be more enjoyable than the game itself).
EDIT 2: And as for whether or not I think it's CG, I'm not eliminating the possibility that some of it is CG (maybe all of it, but I still don't believe so). If I didn't have the knowledge that some people thought it was CG before watching it initially I probably wouldn't even have considered the possibility, although I would have found the format of the interview very strange (which is what makes me resistant to thinking it's CG). The items that I feel give it the largest credence is the comments regarding how the Fox Engine was producing near photorealistic graphics, the upcoming GDC presentation, Kojima's comments regarding his enjoyment from misleading the audience, the eye movement in the final reaction, the limited scope of the interview (as he is only shown for a small amount of time relative to the interview's length) and the "real versus fake" Fox Engine images that had already been posted (I also think the covering of the face via the bandages is somewhat significant too as it removes the areas that the face render in the original post has the largest issues with and lowers the amount of skin that must be perfected). As for why it would be done in CG, if it's done in CG, it seems like it would be an excellent display of the Fox Engine along similar lines to the previous "real versus fake" demonstration, only now in a dynamic form. I'm still not certain as to which I feel is more likely though. It being CG would be something I could imagine Kojima doing but at the same time I only have any doubt in my mind as to its validity due to this thread which makes it hard to accept as CG (but I feel that this would make perfect sense in its timing if it was). Either way, this thread has been highly entertaining.
EDIT 3: The GDC presentation name is making me lean more significantly towards it being CG, at least to some extent. Another thing that I have to consider is what ultimate purpose would the interview, and the strange format, serve otherwise since no other information was actually shown. I feel like I'm slowly being sucked into a blackhole of madness.
