It was very popular even among the hardcore back when it launched. Remember the first release was a 15$ PC-only version.

To my understanding there are two games:
-Plants vs. Zombies 2
-Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare

Since the latter is supposed to be like TF2, presumably you might be able to buy outfits/hats/etc from EA series.
