Playboy Playmate Cassandra Lynn Hensley was found dead in her friend's L.A. home Wednesday ... and police are investigating the death as a possible overdose, law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

We're told Hensley's friend found her floating in a bath tub. The friend then called police, reporting a possible OD. When paramedics arrived they could not revive her. Foul play is not suspected.

Hensley -- Miss February 2006 -- was 34.

Cassandra was pretty active on Twitter ... her last real tweet was three days ago.

Her Twitter updated automatically with her horoscope ... her latest reads: "Unspoken obligations prevent you from doing what you wish today ... No matter what you do now, you might not feel completely fulfilled. Working harder isn't the answer, but neither is escape." Eerie.

Never paid much attention to TMZ but apparently they are the worst scum imaginable.

I've always wondered about the correlation between porn stars and drug use/thrill seeking...specifically, does working in porn act as a "gateway" to other high-risk behavior, or is it simply that porn attracts the kind of person who this stuff would happen to anyway?

RIP. 2006 was around the time when I still checked to see who the Playmate of the Month was, so I probably enjoyed her pictures.

...

It's non-information

Ok. I suppose that every article and news story of someone's death should only say 'So and so died today, there is an autopsy planned.' Good to know. Fact is that the info was on her twitter and her vistors would have seen it. My god people are jumping on something that isn't even an issue just for the hell of it.

I would say it's worse than just non-information. It's the kind of lazy journalism that promotes speculation, superstition, and spectacle over actual information about the person's life.

People are just having a hard time dealing with the death of someone they have wanked to. Just give them some time.

It's lazy writing. Your example is honestly better than TMZ's write up because at least it's concise and not bogged down by irrelevant details only included because they coincidentally occurred the day of someone's death. And even if you were going to post information that is only connected to the actual news by coincidence and timing, I'm sure there's a shitload more interesting stuff they could have included if they actually gave a shit and looked for it

When reporting on a human death it would be pretty cool if you kinda didn't add in shit like twitter horoscope updates unless it's really relevant. I feel it trivializes this persons life

As I much as I agree horoscopes are garbage, the girl who died here didn't. So I doubt she would see it as trivial, as it was something she believed in.
Just because you an I would be offended if horoscopes were reported alongside our death, doesn't mean she would. Step outside of your narrow world for a moment.
