So I guess there will only be fighting type pokemon?
That's true, but Nintendo need this game ASAP not in 2016.
Release on Wii U in 2015, and you know actually patch the game 6 months later. It's not like the majority of people who will buy this will stick with it for longer than a few months, they'll go back to Smash/SF/MVC etc
Or do people think a 100 or whatever arcade centres is better feedback on balancing than a million + first week sales on the Wii U. The majority of players won't give a shit about broken characters or that insert pokemon got 1 frame shaved off his poke thanks to arcade balancing. They will never get on a level for that shit to matter.
It's not like Nintendo can sit on a game like this for a year after arcade release.

Again, the usual cycle of events for Namco fighting games under Harada.
This game is obviously Wii U bound but playing devil's advocate the Mario Kart Arcade GP games from Namco also got english/western trailers and releases. Not sure why people think it may not get released on the Wii U. Why else would Nintendo have a trailer on the NA page? We would only have a Japanese trailer if it was arcade only.
Yes I do
English is not my first language and I am not competent at forums
I heard the neogaf can change a person in a good/bad way but i like games and i waited half a year for my account activation so that i can become friends with you
I didnt know Japan and South Korea were one country.Nintendo should have demanded a console version at the same time. Arcades are dead everywhere except one country in the world so this game will be irrelevant for a while. I don't see the upside for Nintendo letting Scamco make bank first at arcades, it's their IP after all...
She used Lovely Kiss, of course! Jynx is far more likely than people think. She was re-trademarked last year before X and Y came out, so everybody, myself included, assumed she would get a Mega Evolution because every other Pokémon on that list got one. Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed when I found out that she was literally the only Pokémon on the list that didn't get a Mega Evolution, but maybe this is why they trademarked her?

Tekken is like the fighting game version of Starcraft in Korea lol.I didnt know Japan and South Korea were one country.
Namco makes massive bank on arcade releases. In fact, games like tekken and gundam make more in arcades than they do from the console release.
From a profit standpoint, this is great for Nintendo. Make money in arcades. Release console version 6 months-1 year later. Make more money.
How big are Tekken rosters usually? Should I hope for around thirty characters?

One thing I like is how Machamp looks
Most of the time his abs are either non-existent or squeezed so much that he looked deformed, and that his arms and shoulder are way too out of proportion. Here he looks perfect, and even has an existing abdomen!

Fixed because coolerGreninja should totally be the raven of Pokkén.

You think that this is going to build upon the TTT2 Wii U engine or something totally new? I hope this has some badass Tekken soundtrack lol.
I only said Kuni because I actually main her in TTT2 alongside Jin. But yeah, Raven would be a better fit.Fixed because cooler
Tekken 6 had like 40. Tekken Tag 2 has 59 total characters I think. How big are Tekken rosters usually? Should I hope for around thirty characters?
I someone attributing a quote to Harada saying it was a new engine, but I can't find a source on it. Not sure.

Code name: Kids ?

Interesting, thanks! It was just...I was wondering if that's why we got TTT2 on Wii U in the first place. It was an interesting port in any case!
According to Harada, the game doesnt use Tekkens engine, and is something completely new. It wont focus as much on the fighting game genres technical aspects, and will be mainly about the action.
Well, I'm glad they announced Tekken 7 before this, or I would be annoyed.

And if you're a SoulCalibur fan, it's just one more pinch of salt on an open wound.
Tekken rosters nowadays are quite massive, but that's because the franchise has been going on for decades. I don't think we should expect more than 20 characters for this game. I think they will add more for the Wii U release whenever that happens. How big are Tekken rosters usually? Should I hope for around thirty characters?
There's no reason to believe it will be bigger or smaller than Tekken roster. Making 30 characters would probably be too much for them.
Tag 2 had like 50
Expect like 15 on Arcade, but once it hits Wii U.. Expect a lot more. But this Harada we're talking about. We could probably hit that number.
T1: 18
T2: 25
T3: 23
TTT: 39
T4: 23
T5: 36
T6: 43
TTT2: 60
From Wiki. Thirty characters is probably too many. They're going for mass appeal and don't want to keep things too complex, a large roster makes the game tougher to learn. Somewhere around 24 is probably the sweet spot.
Tekken 6 had like 40. Tekken Tag 2 has 59 total characters I think.
Yeah, 24 sounds about right for the console release. Four pokémon for each generation.Tekken rosters nowadays are quite massive, but that's because the franchise has been going on for decades. So basically they're dumbing the game down compared to other fighting games. I don't really like that idea.

...And you would certainly pay attention to that refined musculature, wouldn't you, my friend? C:
But seriously, I really do love how the character models are shaping up so far, as well. So far, we seem to be dodging the notion of how Namco's 3D modelers don't live up to the awesome of its 2D source.

The visuals in this trailer dont look as good as the original teaser, a year ago.
Maybe thats how the Wii U version will look?
