At 24, I was on the cusp of hanging myself from my ceiling fan. What a fucking horrible year that was.

You know, 24 was when I idly did a web search and discovered that my salary was considered much less than what somebody in my general discipline got right out of college (I had been working there for nearly half a decade by then). This was at the height of an economic boom, mind you. The next several years were incredibly hard to bear, because I didn't get a better job until I was nearly 33.

Maybe 24 just sucks as a general rule for most. Luckily, I'm at the height of Best Decade. I recommend it -- all you twentysomethings should join up!
