damn
can you shoot and move at least?
Why are people so obsessed with move and shoot? It wasn't needed in RE4/5.

I know I'm late but 8-10 hours. But it's a better game overall than RE5 and RE6.
For some people (me included), not being able to move while shooting is a total game breaker. It stopped me enjoying Resi4, 5 and Revelations. It just feels like a pointless limitation and I find myself running away, turning, shooting, running away, turning, shooting, running away... Ah, fuck this game *turns off game*.Why are people so obsessed with move and shoot? It wasn't needed in RE4/5.

I'm now at the point where I've just given up on the franchise rather than moaning. If that's how they want to do it, fine, but it definitely ain't for me.

Yeah, I can dig that, that's why I stopped moaning and moved on. There's a ton of shooters out there that play the way I want them to, I don't need Resi to conform to my whims when others enjoy it the way it is.I like it because it forces you to play the games differently than any other game. And quite honestly I enjoyed the shooting mechanics more because of it. The inclusion of move and shoot in future titles really took something special away, IMO.
To be honest, I can't remember what my specific control gripes with Revelations were. I've blocked the game from my mind lest I get flashbacks to bullet-sponge enemies that give no feedback when they're being shot. I just remember feeling like half my controller was missing. I remember hating the dodge move too, though I can't remember why or how you did it.But you can move and shoot in revelations...
Ah, that might be why then.If you own the frankenstick.
Did you use the Frankenstick with Revelations? if not probably that's why, this will be better on the DS3 anyway. That's enough though, I didn't mean to come in and start bitching about this game, I've done that to death.
I didn't, no. To be honest, my problems with the game go beyond the 3DS' hardware limitations so I won't be buying it on any format. It's cool that it'll reach a wider audience though.Did you use the Frankenstick with Revelations? if not probably that's why, this will be better on the DS3 anyway.
here as well if you guys have questions/etc

Ditto. Gyro controls on the WiiU gamepad would be sweeeeet.I'm not the most competitive gamer out there, but I could move and shoot at the same time without the Circle Pad Pro.
This ain't your Julia Voth Jill, which >>>>> any other Jill.
PC?! Capgod.
Oh man. Oh wow.
Mercenaries & Raid on Steam.
If you own the frankenstick.
If you own the frankenstick.
you dont need it to move and aim in 3DS
you can move with left pad and aim and handle the camera with A B X Y like some PSP games did.
But if you enable Gyro Sensor Aiming you aim by moving the 3DS slightly and handle the camera with A B X Y, you can enable the sensor even using frankenstick
I can move and shoot without the CPP. And I'm not an alien. If you own the frankenstick.
you seldomly break the 3d effect as is quite sensitive but I get what you mean.lol that sounds as equally terrible as it was with some psp shooters, no thanks. Also I played the game with 3D on, so I couldn't use the gyro at all.
here as well if you guys have questions/etc
Any chance of native 3d Vision support for PC?
I forgot, this is the version with AnJILLina Jolie.
I hope they give the characters some more outfits for Raid Mode, especially Chris and Krauser.
I wish more people thought the way you do(suits in particular).Yeah, I can dig that, that's why I stopped moaning and moved on. There's a ton of shooters out there that play the way I want them to, I don't need Resi to conform to my whims when others enjoy it the way it is.

It's the version with JILLsicca Voth.
Never noticed the identical initials!
Why did Capcom have to crucify Julia Voth? They even changed Jill's artwork in Umbrella Chronicles HD.
I haven't finished 6 so can't comment yet with full credibility, but Revelations has shit on 5. I can't see how anyone could argue so with a straight face. This will be even more evident on a home console due to the simplified nature of the game.

I cannot imagine anyone with a straight face saying that Resident Evil 5 is better than Revelations.
Unless of course you're talking about mid generation nostalgia. I'm not saying Revelations is better than classic RE games, but come the fuck on.
wiimote support? just copy paste the re4 wii code to this one.
Revelations plays like a Resident Evil 5-lite with a haphazard attempt to cash in nostalgia (one more evident in advertising and press releases than the actual game). Really bad enemies, retrogressive combat, weak survival mechanics, (locked) low difficulty, immersion breaking "episodes" featuring very different kind of stories you switch back and forth from (negating the "isolated cruise ship" setting), "cliffhangers" which nearly reaches the level of parody, pointless backtracking for the sake of tradition, etc. If you believe the word atmosphere means "lighting engine", then I highly recommend it anyway.

RE5 vs Revelations is a matter of preference. They're games of different styles.
One thing's for sure though; they're both better than RE6, and the reception proves that.
Please tell me Wesker's there somewhere
Anywhere...=(
You are really going to push that kind of evidence? Reception doesn't prove anything. People only think that way when it suits them and will quickly forget about such a ridiculous method of determining quality when it doesn't (e.g. RE5 hate).
I think that counts for something.

So here we have conversation where I comment on a game's quality based on my own detailed examination and you do so based on what other people think as represented by price drops and whatnot. Since I'm much more interested in the former than the latter, I'm going to say it doesn't count for much. If I were to refer to others, it would be from a specific source I've become familiar with (and in that case it seems I wouldn't be as off the mark when compared to the massive blob of averaged intelligence you want me to respect).
But I'll comment on your somewhat irrelevant outlook: I don't think RE:R's success (if it could be safely called that) was the deciding factor of Capcom desire to push it onto other platforms. I suspect the opposite is true, at least relative to what might be expected out of a multi-platform console/PC release. I don't know if you can make an argument on RE:R being pushed forward in RE6's place. RE6 is a Wii U release away from being on an equal number of platforms as RE:R save the 3DS (which obviously isn't an option) and has already received more support that what we are getting here in the form of updates and DLC. If you sincerely think Capcom is done with RE6 after putting this much effort into it and reaching a number of sells that puts it far out of the range of "bomb", I don't know what to tell you. Look to history? They made Dead Rising 2: Off The Record at some point.
Gift of the year! Hehehe
But I guess people who don't like RE6, reviewers or not, are of "averaged intelligence."
