I'm currently playing through this on 3DS. I don't whether I should continue or just wait for this. They really did a fantastic job with Jill's buttocks on the 3DS version but I'm wondering if the added bonus of more polygons make a difference. Higher resolution always helps to get a clearer picture though.
Now nobody has an excuse.
No IR, no buy.
/excuse

It's in-between. You have a partner but they're not much of a help nor a hindrance, so it's kind of like being alone. And there are parts where you are separated.
So basically, the game and its scenarios are designed for single player. Co-op is left for Raid Mode.
The surprise about the Wii-U version is astounding
Capcom loves to unload their RE games on Nintendo home consoles to show some love
But no portable 3D Jill's ass.Jill's ass in HD?
Why am i throwing money to the screen but nothings happens?
As a person who tried and hated the demo for RE6 do you guys think this would be something I'd like?
PC too?
Awesome.
But no portable 3D Jill's ass.
I don't own a 3DS nor know anyone who has one. :/ I'm not much of a portable system player. Hopefully there's a demo on PSN.If you have a 3DS (have no clue if you do or not or maybe you know someone with one), there's a demo on the eShop.
What's the bigger news: that there is a Wii U version, or that everyone is so surprised that there is a Wii U version?
The only reason I'm surprised there's a Wii U version is because so many posts seemed to have insider knowledge indicating there would be no such release.
Otherwise I would have fully expected it. Capcom is throwing pretty good support (lack of RE6 aside) at the Wii U.
I'll definitely be picking it up for my Wii U. Hopefully we get more Resident Evil on Wii U after this. I was disappointed that the only games on Wii after the RE4 port were on-rails games.
Glad I did hold off on the 3DS game. I will now play this baby on my sweet sweet TV!
Isn't this one still on the RE4 model than RE5?
I don't want RE5-6 forced coop.
You do have a partner most of the time, but they're invincible, have infinite ammo, and won't get in your way at all. Basically, they're there just to take the heat off of you.
$50 for a barebones 3DS port isn't an excuse? Lol.
an HD port with enhanced lighting, new difficulty, new characters, new enemies and revamped co-op mode with new weapons/skills is barebones now?
good to know.
1 new enemy and improvements to the existing raid mode (new weapons and skills). Yep, still barebones for full price.an HD port with enhanced lighting, new difficulty, new characters, new enemies and revamped co-op mode with new weapons/skills is barebones now?

You seem to be an insider.I think capcom is playing out an experiment here. If this game picks up and sells shit load then we will not be seeing any portable RE any time soon. They will say that RE formula is not fit for a handheld! What beats me is that why did they not take a chance on the vita? It would had sold just enough to recoup the cost of porting if it was sold digitally! Also would had helped to gauge the market on vita! Just look at JAW Stranger's Wraith. It was ported by one guy and that too without overtime and recovered its porting cost in 1st month! Unless there is a deal with nintendo or they have decided that no more RE for handhelds!
I will be getting this on PC!
In JP GC also sold better launch aligned. PSV sales trajectory crossed DC's but I haven't kept up with it so I don't know if it's still lagging behind.People use the low install base and sales as an excuse for the Vita don't realize that the Dreamcast and Gamecube have had tons of support from Capcom.
There's only so much they can do. At least here in Germany it's not lacking marketing (it's seriously lacking retail presence though). It got an exclusive game in the Uncharted series and had a launch line-up which was considered one of the best around here. During Christmas it had some insane deals going and it was backed by two of the most powerful non-Nintendo IPs (AC and CoD), each having an exclusive game (in all probability with the help/monies from Sony). Sure CoD was of dubious quality but the name alone should have a lot of pull in the mass market.Capcom and Sony continues to shit on Vita.
Wtf Sony! Get your act together!
You know what they should have done was a combo pack of Recelations With Mercenaries 3D.
That would be worth 50 in my book.
One new enemy lol, and the graphics are basically the original game in HD. "Enhanced lighting."
No new side story, no bonus story content, hell not even extra confirmed Raid levels.
Bare. Bones. And it's being sold for double what you can find the 3DS version for. It just really stings.
I'm glad others can play it if they want to, but I'd have been much more amicable to this in its current state at even $40. At least then they could say they're just matching the 3DS version's MSRP.
i agree about the price. i think it should've been budget priced as well. but if they added stuff over the original, it's not bare bones.
bare bones would be just a port, nothing added.
RE6 Final Hope is so obviously Wii U bound. I just wonder if it'll happen before or after Revelations UE?Resident Evil 5 not coming to the Wii made sense since the Wii couldn't handle the game, Capcom didn't really give an amazing reason as to why Resident Evil 6 didn't come to Wii U, but I wouldn't be shocked if RE6 came to Wii U if Capcom makes a gold edition.

From PlayStation.Blog.This basically is nothing added. It's the least Capcom could really get away with, heck, they may not even get away with this little.
Of course, they could do more, but this isn't what I would call "bare bones" IMO.Whats new to the package? On top of the core campaign and co-op RAID mode experience were adding new character costumes and new playable characters and features to RAID mode, providing an even higher difficulty mode called Infernal Mode for RE ninjas, adding a new enemy to the mix and randomized positions for all enemies, reduced load times, more save slots, more weapon customization parts, more character skills, ResidentEvil.net integration/unlockables, completely reworked visuals, and of course lest we not forget the fact that youll get to play all of this in high definition in the comfort of your own home on PS3.
guys, is it a good game for co-op?
Raid mode co-op is fun. Just you can't do the full story co-op or anything like RE5 or 6.
You know what they should have done was a combo pack of Recelations With Mercenaries 3D.

damn
can you shoot and move at least?
Hmmm...tempting. How long is the main campaign?
