I don't know why people hate R2 so much.I loved it, especially the MP. With all the crazy weapons and huge level, I found it more fun than KZ2.

you may find R3 disappointing then because I can assure you they won't release anything resembling R2 after the fan backflash.

I don't know about that. I liked R2 and I think there are some things and mechanics that were in 2 that will still be around. I know there was backlash but the game was did much better critically than Rfom did. I don't think this is a total scrapjob.

Absolutely, dispite teh hate, there were some great things they did with R2.

Was hankering for some nice sci-fi shooty-shoot, both offline and online, and realised "Hey, I really liked RFOM...a ton of people bagged R2, but it looks great and the multiplayer looks fantastic". Thus, it's coming in from Play-Asia as we speak.

Pretty excited for it.

Yes, but did it do better saleswise? I suspect no. And of course R2 did better critically, as it was an answer to those critics' complaints about RFoM. They got what they wanted, whereas the fans were ignored.

RFOM is still one of the best selling PS3 games and one of the few first party games to crack a million in the US (if I'm not mistaken only God of War 3, Uncharted 2 and possibly GT5P did that).

Resistance 2 sold very well, just a tad below Killzone 2 if the leaked numbers I remember seeing were right.
