Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box - Folsense

Another track that fits its role. When you find a freaking city coming out of nowhere that feels so damn ominous, you'd expect it to sound pretty much like this.

Oh, man, if we're gonna talk Layton music, Curtain of Night from Curious Village needs to be on here, as well. Any time I listen to it, I feel as if I'm taking a stroll in a small European town. The live version is best version, though.

Shadow Madness, an obscure Japanese-style (but American-developed) RPG for the PS1, had some cool battle and town music. The town of Karillon had these themes, I really like Part 2 and 3 especially:

Just remembered one I had forgotten about - Moogle Woods from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles The Crystal Bearers. I really didn't enjoy the game itself, but the soundtrack was one of the few good things in it. This track in particular has a very classic FF feel to it.
