Waiting 10 days for the PS4 version is already going to kill me. I'm getting xbone just to play it even earlier. I'm too weak, I'll end up folding and getting it for ps3 just to play it in 11/5.
:lol damn man thats dedication I guess

Can't wait to see the NPD numbers of the next month, Not because i'm interested in the next gen battle, i just want to see how much units the WiiU will sell.
This makes PS4's 11/15 release date all the more retarded. Like really?
Could Sony even retaliate? How likely is it that they could make their launch on the same day, if not earlier? (omg, same day launch.. the riots would be glorious)
I am debating getting on the mic at the reception and thanking everyone for coming to my Playstation 4 launch party.

7 days will determine the next gen war, guys
Hardly surprising. I would've waited until Microsoft to announce a release date to reveal mine if I was Sony.

Sony are going at their own pace.Hardly surprising. I would've waited for MS to announce a release date to reveal mine if I was Sony.
I am still trying to figure out how this could be an advantage. The people who know about the release date will also know about the PS4 release date, so one week won't make any difference here. And the number of people casually walking into a store between 8th and 15th, seeing the console, and buying it immediately will be negligible.
I'd be just happy that both consoles don't collide on the same week for those who buy both, so every console get's the attention it deserves.
I think Sony knows what they're doing and are very confident in fulfilling the demand as they have a ton of pre-orders already. The thing that bodes well is them not just rushing to win some kind of false victory. I think they know the date is right and can produce a lot of units.
Both will hit before black Friday so it will be crazy.
PS4 launches the day before my wedding
XB1 possibly launching the day before my birthday/bachelor party
This year is going to ruin me.
Parents aren't going to buy a $500 console without information.I don't have any hard numbers, but I think launching first could help with pulling in sales from uninformed consumers who just want a game console, such as parents.
Write it off as a birthday/Wedding present for yourself

This isn't confirmed and 32 countries is way more than 13.So how did this happen? Everything seemed to imply Xbox was having trouble and Sony was primed.
Damn you, cboat!!

That's why I thought they'd wait. They definitely seem to have a head start in manufacturing - figured they would wait until Microsoft announces their date, then launch a week or so earlier.
What consoles will even be available for walk-ins that first week? I figured they'd all be reserved.I don't have any hard numbers, but I think launching first could help with pulling in sales from uninformed consumers who just want a game console, such as parents.

In no way does launching 1 week earlier discount that.So how did this happen? Everything seemed to imply Xbox was having trouble and Sony was primed.

I'd think MS can win over some on the fence, if not for that $100 hike.

On my wife's birthday? Now how do I justify buying myself a $500 gift on her birthday?
I really don't see a week making much of a difference. Every retailer worth paying attention to is still saying the PS4 has it beat 2 to 1 for launch, so... what?

Really? Still four months away from launch and your saying the PS4 won already? Lmao! Nice hyperbole.
The latter, cheaper console. And that one was underpowered to boot. The last time one console launched so close to the other, the latter console that launched sold really well.
a one week head start will definitely help them a whole lot.
