why does it need to be so big though?
to accommodate a 6 inch screen and newly place analog sticks?

Good. Now fix the rest of the design.
They fixed the only two things I've seen people care about. What's wrong with it?

Buttons are below the Analog Stick.
It's a giant rectangle.
It's a giant rectangle.
That's purely personal preference.

What other controller has the buttons below the Analog Stick?

As appose to?
It's a giant rectangle.
I don't know, maybe a 360 style controller with the screen attached to the top or bottom?
still to big and tiresome to hold. the thing looks like a size of ipad.

No they didn't. There were way more than two things. They fixed the only two things I've seen people care about. What's wrong with it?
None, so why assume it's a negative without any precedent or having tried it?
Because it seems like it'd hinder gameplay due to it's placement. You seem to be further away from the main buttons like A/B for example. I just don't see it being as optimal as what's been used before, hence the skepticism.
Why not just wait and actually hold the tablet controller before shitting all over it?

It's suppose to be incredibly light too. Lighter than an iPad I bet.Which as we all know is a wildly uncomfortable device that people can't stand holding on to for very long.
BEHOLD MY SCALED HACKJOB!

The button most distant from the right analog is 8% farther apart than on PS3, and 4% farther than on 360. (Read: A difference of a few millimeters.)[/QUOTE]
Great graphic. Hopefully this gets rid of some of the doubts that the buttons will be hard to reach.
Question: Did you even hold the thing yet?
I have what might be a dumb question.
Does the Wii U tablet have rumble?
Disregard that last post, I did it better. This one also lets you compare vertical and horizontal spacing.
why must i hold to give comments? that thing is just unnecessary big and rectangular.
did the E3 holders held the thing for prolong times? did they pick up and down as they would at home? what was nintendo thinking of doing to make such a controller? it does not make sense!
Yeah.
White Sticks = It's gonna turn yellowish/brownish after a group of people have their way with it.
Just like my nunchuck stick

If you're going to compare the spacing between the furthest button away from the analog stick to the analog stick on the Wii U controller then you should do the same for the other two instead of just taking it do the circle/b button.

What are the distances for the other buttons?I'm comparing the buttons that are farthest away from the center of the right analog. That's the bottom of the diamond on the Wii U since its layout is tall, and the rightmost button on PS3 and 360.
It doesn't need to be that big or that rectangular.Well, how are they gonna get that screen there otherwise?
It doesn't need to be that big or that rectangular.
It's beautiful. Haven't been this excited about a console launch ever. Really hope E3 has plenty of software to really push my hype though the roof.
oh cool.
It just randomly popping into my head. I didnt remember seeing it mentioned anywhere but I never really though about it anyway.
