Hahaha. 3.24 Ghz 4 stage CPU. Hohoho.“Espresso” clocked at 1.24 GHz before the 3.0.0 update, 3.24 GHz after the 3.0.0 update
As bullshit as this story clearly is, the update can at least raise the clock speed a little though, can't it? (though obviously not that much)
After all, I'm pretty sure a PSP update once did that when God Of War was released on it.
This is one of the most stupid things I've read in a while.
You can't be serious. How can you even possibly believe that?
EDIT: I'm talking about this part:
This is so clearly false I don't even know where to begin. The Wii U doesn't have the cooling required for 3.24 Ghz is probably the most stand out one. The other being the total madness in increasing the clocks by that much after release.
How is this even a thread...
Nintendo: "Oh we forgot 2 GHz, better patch that in."
noIs 3.24Ghz even a multiple of the base clock of the CPU?.
13 * 248 = 3224Is 3.24Ghz even a multiple of the base clock of the CPU?.
Hell of an overclock. Unless little red suited plumbers are breaking into homes and putting liquid cooling on Wii Us... And running without a case... And have fans blowing on the system at all times... Which still wouldn't be enough.
That's not to mention what that kind of overclock would do to the RAM, which most assuredly does not have sufficient active cooling either.
This was a pretty good laugh for the AM. Thanks OP.
Nintendo must have transferred a whole bunch of extra Pikmin to every Wii U to get those clocks.
Next update will add games
You don't understand, they increased the base clock to 648 Mhz. What would be the point of just raising the multiplier?13 * 248 = 3224
13 * 243 = 3159
Nope.
