I really doubt the same company that ported Modern Warfare to Wii would allow the 360 to miss such a major title just because of DRM.
but idt its about that. Sony aren't strict as MS when it comes to games like this

It does a little. With the right incentives it would be a huge coup for Sony if they secure Diablo 3 for the Vita as well. It could have the moto of play Diablo anytime anywhere. It doesn't depend on Sony's smartness.
no its not.
blizzard just doesn't roll this way. blizzcon is there announcement stage.
If Sony was smart they would try to secure a vita version as well, but sometimes Sony's not always smart.

MS waived every Live restriction from Portal 2 and Minecraft dlc, you think they would turn down Diablo? To quote Captain Barbosa, "they're more guidelines than rules, really."
Portal 2 didn't use Steam on 360. It did on PS3, which is why it was the superior version.
My original question was, why would anyone double dip? For people who actually have the PC version, there is a very high chance the PC version will look better (especially with the DarkD3 'mod')and the auction house will have a lot more on it as well as more buyers. While the PS3 version will probably support KB+M, having to use a gamepad will make some things in the game impossible, such as kiting quickly and accurately which is a necessity for some classes on Inferno.I'll ask my question a little more clearly. What do you know about the supposed PS3 version?
I don't have a gaming PC at least not to a level where it would be visually appealing, and run at a suitable framerate.
And 360 owners still got all the free-LC.
It's not just DRM, it's about bnet 2.0.I really doubt the same company that ported Modern Warfare to Wii would allow the 360 to miss such a major title just because of DRM.
If it's exclusive to Sony, no it shouldn't. Blizzard isn't controlled by Activision anyway, IIRC.
But, no Steam achievements, Steamworks, cross-play, and friends list; no free copy of Portal 2 on the PC.

360 owners didn't care then, why would they care now? Cross platform play isn't a selling point for console gamers.
For the third time in this thread I post this. :-DThe source is a "leaked" retail listing with easily photoshopable cover art. I agree, this would be huge for the Vita or PS3, but I'm not exactly holding my breath here. Do we have any other confirmation?
Who cares about the 360 owners?
We're talking about the platform holders here, and their willingness to bend to the needs of a game developer.
Blizzard will mandate BNet. Historically, Microsoft has said 'no' to such demands; Sony did say 'yes' to Valve. That's all I'm saying.
Just hope.Again, is there any source for the Vita news or is this just hope?

I played it on my 2 year old Macbook Air. It causes the fans to go nuts but it runs well. Nothing a console couldn't handle. The biggest problem I had with the game is that while I was playing it I wished I was playing something else. I love loot and leveling up, but it just didn't click with me.

Not to be a negative Nancy, but this couldn't possibly be true, could it?

If comparing the two - I'd vager BNet means more to their business then hypothetical retail revenue. Valve had no such business model constraints on Portal.Sho_Nuff82 said:I'm sorry, I thought Blizzard was running a business, not trying to make a point to mean old MS.

If Blizzard were clever they could use the same servers including AH servers.
I would double dip, mainly because I would rather play the game with a controller (especially if it plays like Dungeon Siege III), plus if I could use the same character across both platforms that would be awesome.
Granted thats unlikely to happen though
Here we go: http://www.redcoon.de/B362894-Blizzard-PS3-Diablo-3_Rollenspiele-Adventure. Set for 2012.
Sources say it will be offically announced later today.
D3 on Vita would be a true megaton.
Don't expect it for atleast another 6 months to a year. That's how much work the game needs.
In fact i'd say it needs a fast turn around expansion like LoD, but i can't see that happening.
This is one of those announcements that will be big to a lot of people except for me.
