This poster pulses with an appeal so broad the typical restraints of our societies fall by the wayside.
I think she looks better than ever with that hair. Good lord.

Does that mean Kyle and Beck are leaving too? Or were they just part of the skit? :\

no special send off to the departing players? couldn't even let them stand in the fucking front
Yeah that's fucked. I know they gave them the lion's share of skits tonight but come on, they've been on here for a while.

Anyway, Alec is looking kinda swole? Everyone is on that HGH, geez.

Also I can't tell if the 2020 thing is a joke but I hope it is.

They didn't even do a send off for Vanessa and Bobby? I only caught the last few sketches. That's sucks if so. So stupid how they make big deals out of some people like Kristen wiig, but others who have been there just as long they don't even mention on the show.

I always assumed Genma gets a new boyfriend in each sketch, but since the Rock came back and didn't have anything about getting back together. I'm starting to think the boyfriend is a shape shifter.

Yeah, it's kind of lame. I mean, one of them was pretty much in every sketch, but I agree it would've been very nice to have special signoffs, at the very least mention them in the outro at the end. Especially when I feel like Vanessa Bayer and Bobby Moynihan did more for the show than Kristen Wiig.

Probably best episode of the season, not really surprising with The Rock hosting but some damn funny sketches and the opening cameos were the best. Random ScarJo thrown in too!

I hope they get new weekend update hosts, Michael Che and Colin Jost are just so boring.

They just got a spin off show playing in the summer. They are not going anywhere.

I didn't watch it all last night, the mad scientist sketch was hilarious, easily my favorite in the episode. The rap collaboration was second.

solid but not stellar ep, I liked Bobby and Vanessa getting the spotlight in every sketch. the movie set, cartier fidget spinner, senior video and evil invention were all good. and always nice to get in one last full-cast rapid fire character sketch like the rap song.
also the near-absence of mckinnon in an ep heavy on those two clarified for me why I prefer utility players like Bobby and Vanessa. mckinnon has some great recurring characters like Colleen Rafferty, Olya, Barbara Dedrew, but in anything that's not a character sketch (or WU) it's rare she makes an impression on me. (plus her new characters are not great, the blobfish should've been a one-off and I don't find debette goldry funny.)

I like Che and Jost a lot but I understand the vocal contingent that hates them. I think it'd be good for them to be looser during the moments where they ad-lib or mug after switching off, they feel stilted now.

hope the awful hallelujah call back was the last we'll see of baldwin trump.

Wow I did not realize the FCC allowed "goddamn" on TV. Usually whenever it's said they bleep out the "god" part as far as I can tell.

They didn't use sasheer enough. And the head writers are leaving already? Didn't they just recently become head writers?

Overall i thought this season was pretty good, though a little heavy on the trump sketches. I hope they can find more for melissa because she got less screen time than day and moffat.

Supersonic, idiotic, disconnecting, not respecting, who would really ever wanna go and top that
I saw Cecily Strong post about Sasheer on Instagram and was like "Uh oh, her too?" Damn, between this cast purge and the people that left last year, it's gonna look like a new show. They never really utilized Sasheer very well. I'm surprised Pete isn't being bounced too. He hasn't been center of a good sketch is a long time.

Last night was pretty good. Only sketch I didn't care for was the fart one.

they rarely if ever do send offs no?
The only one i remember was Kristen Wiig but everyone else got nothing.

As someone who's been pimping President Hanks for quite a while now, that ending speech (seen on youtube) was everything I ever wanted. Well, aside now from Johnson's day one impeachment that is, but I'm not that picky I guess.

I'm just really glad they got Hanks to actually run with it. It's canon now, bitches.

edit: also it felt like Johnson was channeling Mads's Hannibal Lecter in that one sketch, which was awesome. Kinda want him to do another villain role at some point now.

So are these folks leaving cause they weren't wanted back or cause they have better options available?

I love Bayer but unlike Kate McKinnon she doesn't seem to have crossed over as a star herself.

Man, I Hope Kate doesn't leave for a while. ;(

I'm shocked she hasn't already. Clearly the star cast member, already doing movies, and can probably cash in on her popularity.

Also loved the episode, the Rock is always great on SNL. Disappointed we didn't see the classic Bayer ex porn star skit.
