all internet memes were put to be in the final game, not just for the show.

Surely a bear with a taste for the young is missing out on this party, isn't he? :lol

As amusing as that might be, it's probably considered "inappropriate", especially for a game targeted at tons of children. Imagine if news of that got out. :p

I wonder if you can make appear a baby, plutonium, blood, moon, sun, smiley, pyramid, mansion, fountain, black hole, tear, sheep, wolf, cannon and a bunch of other stuff i am forgetting right now :lol

Oh man, dlc for this could be sweet. They could release word packs, each with their own theme.

Nintendo theme
Warner Bros. Theme
??? theme

Or they could add new puzzles/level themes. I would buy all of them. ...Of course, this would mean Scribblenauts would have to be DSi exclusive, which would suck.

I wonder how prevalent foreign words are in this game. I don't mean foreign words with English definitions, but instead words that do not have an English counterpart. Pueblo? Daimyo? Hwacha? Janissary? Yangban? Jackson if you are reading this, please put a hwacha in the game, they are awesome.

I really like that TV show "Deadliest Warrior" so I plan on recreating those battles in this game. I've already seen that a Samurai is in the game, so lets hope a Maori warrior makes it. A monk (of the Buddhist variety) is a given, as are pirates, knights, and ninja. I'd imagine a Spartan would make it.

Hey Jackson, could you make sure we get Spetsnaz and Green Berets? That would be awesome.

So this pretty much won't be able to be sold in non-English speaking countries I guess? It would take a mighty effort to adapt it

So I'll restate the rules here...

Concrete Objects Only
No Proper Nouns
No Copyrighted Words
No Adjectives
E-E10 rated words only - this means No Vulgar/Offensive/Lewd/Drug/Alcohol related words

Other than that... it works

Almost 100% Jackson said it was already being localized in multiple languages with the initial reveal. I'll have to look into that to be sure though.

EDIT:

Jackson said:
Of course it'll be out EU, fully localized.

Yeah, he did. Don't see why so many people think it'd be difficult anyway, it's just objects. There's not really any issues of grammar or anything.

Is there any way you could show some of the sprite work for some of the more creative entries? (like what was on page one and two of the Nintendo Power spread)

That would be sweet. That and new videos :)

(I'm totally pimping this game on my Myspace page.)

Hey, since Popeye's copyright has expired in most nations, can we summon him in the PAL version of the game?

Wait, Plumb-bob was missed in the vocab. You missed a word, nooooooooooo ;-;

So you can't summon "Friendship" ? :(

J/K. Keep up the good work, Jackson! :D

I do not approve of title change. Aside from the fact it made me think it was another old thread bump, it has a distinct lack of dinosaurs or time-travel in it. It should just be like "Scribblenauts Impressions of Time-Traveling Dinosaurs" if that'll fit.

We need people to know this is the best game ever.

So, I just thought I'd pile onto the amazing.

When I played it at E3, the level I tried was a kind of escort mission. You had to get a girl safely through a field of zombies. So, my first thought for how to navigate a level filled with hungry zombies was to summon "brains." Not only did a tiny cartoon brain pop into the world, but when I threw it, the nearest zombie went right after it. I didn't sucessfully complete the level though (I would've needed a lot more brains!), but that alone was thoroughly impressive.

The person said "plumbob"...they might have just misspelled it. Jackson would have to confirm. :p

Also yeah, a thread title featuring dinosaurs or time travel might be better. *shrug*

Can't you just write 'god' for everything? Killer robots? God. Impassable ravine? God. Unclimbable wall? God.

God's behavior seems to be just to run around and fight (evil?) things, and I would imagine that it takes more than that to get most Starrites.

For example I doubt God is going to chop down a tree and get a Starrite. I doubt God is going to push a beached whale into the ocean for you.

I wonder would SUN and MAGNIFYING GLASS light fire to something?

What about summoning JUPITER? Would it break the game as it is a planet, and therefore bigger than the game's level

I would figure Nintendo DS would work because it's on the system they're on.

I thought DeLorean might've been out so long it would've showed up.

Don't go crazy on me, jesus.

Maybe CAR -> GLUE -> FLUX CAPACITOR -> GLUE -> ROCKET might make a time machine? :D

I guess you should be able to spawn an array of different diseases as well, as bacteria/virii are concrete entities. I wonder if you could spawn rabies and infect a dog/bear/santa claus with it. How about Ebola?
Nuclear weapons seem to be in, which begs the question; can I launch a bio-missile into the past to annihilate all the dinosaurs? I bet I can.

These two aren't objects, but the rest should be in. Rollercoaster and guillotine is confirmed, and I don't see why clubhouse, bookstore or baseball stadium shouldn't be there, as you can spawn other buildings (a coffee shop to help a thirsty guy in a desert for example).

:lol OMG I was just listening to the IGN guys talk about it. Hilary gave it the most podcast love.......hahaha going back in time with a time machine....thats sick

I doubt you can spawn diseases.

I mean, what will they look like? Also, how would they be able to accurately transmit the symptoms to whatever objects are on screen? We're getting too intricate, now.

I'm interested in what their solution is for spawning huge thing

Skyscraper
THE MOON
Asteroids
Jupiter
A Comet
The Milky Way

Also, small things

A Pixel

I bet you could glue a warhead to a time machine and kill them that way. Like I said earlier, this entire game is one big thought experiment.

I wouldn't be so sure. It is known that a werewolf's bite spreads lycanthropy to other human objects in the game, so 'transmit' is a known property. I do believe germ is in. I would imagine the germ could transfer a sickness to a human or animal (maybe making him look like a zombie ala 28 Days Later)

The X v Y stuff is neat, but what gets me really excited is the fact that they're delivering a real lateral thinking puzzle game. Adventure games have tried this, but, in the words of Yahtzee, they basically consist of you taking a bunch of items in your inventory and rubbing them together until something happens. This is the real deal.

By themselves Kraken and school girl are harmless words, but put them together and you've got tenticle porn :lol

(jk but I would imagine they would battle each other. They should!)
