Ars Technica article on the SNES Classic
On using an SNES controller on the NES Classic:
So Y/B will be uncomfortable on the NES, but X/A is still a reasonable option.
That Hori pad doesn't have a home button, right? Missed opportunity if true.
This PDP case looks pretty interesting.
I think I have never actually asked this, so even if it may sound stupid: is the size of the controller the exact same as it was back then with the original console? Also, to the people who already one at hands: how is the quality (especially the Dpad)?

I liked the NES Classic case made by the other manufacture, which I can't remember their name. This one looks really bulky and cheap.
It's identical to the original in size, feel, quality, everything. Just like the NES Classic controller was. This is a big part why these systems are such a good buy. 100% authentic controllers.with shorter cables

I wonder if this controller will work on the switch. I am not sure if I will get the snes classic, so I don't want to buy it for nothing. Hmm.
It's basically a Wii Classic Controller. With a dongle.Does this work with PC, Switch or other consoles?
Might get this instead of the 8bitdo as a wireless SNES/2D gaming alternative.
Daaaaaaaamn, why can't we have things like this in my country?!That Hori pad doesn't have a home button, right? Missed opportunity if true.

Cant you use a button combination to get to the home menu?
There is? Where'd you hear that?
I had heard people talking about this with their NES Classic, so I thought it would be the same here.
If you mod it when its available later, you can use down + select like on the nes classic. There unfortunately also wasn't
Isn't the Hori controller a replica of an old Super Famicom controller they made or something? That Hori pad doesn't have a home button, right? Missed opportunity if true.

Japan gets Panel de Pon (Tetris Attack), which is better than all those games combined. The japanese version doesn't get EarthBound, Kirby's Dream Course, Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting, Super Castlevania IV, or Super Punch-Out!!? Japanese version is trash compared to the US version.

No AC adapter included? What is this? I don't know anything about this sort of stuff. How do I know if I have one that's compatible?
Will my old SNES one work? Should have one lying around somewhere...Can't I just plug the USB cable into my TV for power?

So many questions!
Nice OT.
Planning to play through one of the games I've never beaten (likely Castlevania IV) first!
Also, US SNES Classic is the best sry
The EU version should come without Earthbound and Mario RPG and 50hz for true representation
Then we'll talk
Wouldn't mind it, that is if they include Terranigma instead.
Indeed. The original EU model was significantly inferior due to actual games not releasing for it. A better colour scheme doesn't make up for that.
Hmm, that's a good point. No traditional shmups represented. Axelay would have been a really good one to showcase.Surprised there isn't a single shooting game on there. Super Aleste / Space Megaforce, R-Type 3, or Axelay would have been solid choices. I guess Nintendo thinks Star Fox fulfills that criteria?

This works both ways, there are a ton of great games not released on the ntsc snes.

Zoolert is showing Target inventory stock. But obviously YMMV. But hopefully gives people an idea of stock around them if they're planning to walk into a store Friday morning.
