Y'know, I wonder if it's listed as abandoned simply because Sony hasn't "used" the mark in 3 years. Didn't really read the thread, but do we know if there was any affirmative act on their part that was done to cancel the trademark?
Well, that's not a Fez thing, Paper Mario did it ages ago.multiple ios games use the rotating mechanic, if copying one mechanic makes for a clone
This. Simply this.Fuck Japanese devs this gen.
This is one game. It's crazy to equate this to a whole country's production. SotC took ages too, and had serious technical issues.This. Simply this.
They have become beyond incompetent. And if they cant produce games in a timely fasion on current gen, how the fuck will they use next gen? It will be like one game per publisher next gen.

SotC took a couple years a best. I always thought a lot of the issues with this game were going to be technical, trying to do too much with the hardware as SotC did thoughThis is one game. This picture is so full of life, Trico really seems to be a living creature, looking and admiring his creator.
Kick starter? What would that do?if they are going broke or need another 7 years maybe they should kickstarted?
Than it can be an epic gift to my grandchildren once it comes in the mail.
A couple means two, and it took four, so a couple of couples sure.SotC took a couple years a best. I always thought a lot of the issues with this game were going to be technical, trying to do too much with the hardware as SotC did though
Pretty standard really, the game had an epic scope. Four year turn arounds wold be more than acceptable for this company. Seven? Pushing it a lotA couple means two, and it took four, so a couple of couples sure.
Maybe they felt the Last Guardian was too smilar to the Last of UsEven if the game was just getting renamed, wouldn't Sony want to hold onto the old name? That way, people looking for The Last Guardian could be easily redirected to the proper game.
This thing is dead. Long dead.
(not even sure if <- that <- is an "acceptable" thing to say on GAF anymore)
This generation it's not even standard, last generation it was far from standard.Pretty standard really, the game had an epic scope. Four year turn arounds wold be more than acceptable for this company. Seven? Pushing it a lot
What a fucking joke. If it actually ends up getting canned (at least in the West...which I doubt), oh boy...the tears will be delicious. This game will be the paradigmatic monument of the ineptitiude and utter mismanagement of Japanese game development.
For what's essentially a new IP?This generation it's not even standard, last generation it was far from standard.
Personally, it doesn't bother me how long they take, Ico is still more or less the best game I've ever played.
...and this is why I joined NeoGaf
Not sure if this is posted already. Sony confirms TLG is very much still in dev and not cancelled.

At launch on PS4.
The child is grown, the dream is gone.
So which game comes out first?
The Last Guardian
Final Fantasy Versus XIII
Ni-Oh
Bioshock Infinite (based on that other thread)
Well is stupei going to get unbanned or what?
She was banned for referencing some comments made by Ueda about the protagonist of the Last Guardian. To the less-informed it could have been misconstrued as a sexist joke. Regardless, it's negated by the aforementioned comments and the fact she's a woman.why was he banned?

Yea, not sure if I'm going to take the word of someone who isn't directly affiliated with Sony.
