If they had so much money to actually throw around to land major exclusives, then why didn't they do that last gen when they had Sony on their heels for the first first years due to the high price of the PS3? That's when they could've really done damage to Sony by basically kicking them while they were down. But for the most part the exclusives they landed were a simple result of them having the console out first while also having one that was significantly easier to develop for. Once Sony got the price of the console down the exclusives faded away.

That's the flaw in the logic. Microsoft may have a massive war chest, but getting access to that war chest is a different story. Xbox is still a subsidiary, and needs to ask for money to spend.

I doubt he'd take it since his baby is Kingdom Hearts and he seems to love it quite a bit. Which is why XV is a one and done FF for him. He wants to be able focus on KH.

Geoff said last year that the problem with showing Sony's conference is that they're later in the day and Spike apparently doesn't want to interrupt their schedule. It's super important to air The Empire Strikes Back for the millionth time.
