Well, we are in a simliar boat.
Maybe you will like the Second act of AGE a bit more (I did) however the third is easily worse then the first.
Kio is like every bad Gundam lead trait shoved on to one character with out any redeeming qualities whatsoever.
This is square enix.....please for your own good, do not get your hopes up.

Actually im curious, if square was handing a japanese franchise over to a western dev like say having eidos make a star ocean game, who would announce it? I very much doubt it, but i have always been curious if square would ever use eidos, or another western developer to try a fresh take on a japanese franchise.
I know this will be some crap for phones, or social gaming but it would be interesting to see if square would pull a capcom.

He can't be worse than Flit, can he? I watch Gundam AGE because it makes me appreciate Gundam SEED and Wing a lot more. Nothing in either of those shows approaches AGE's awful. Even remotely.
I've only seen Wing, SEED, and Destiny so far (though I'm watching AGE and 0079 at the same time) and so far, between Amuro, Heero, Kira and Shinn, Shinn is the worst.
Not sure if Flit is as bad as Shinn yet.
Can we trust this company to make a good sci fi anymore?

tri-Ace x Bioware for a new space RPG. It'll be the most glorious trainwreck we'll ever see.
EDIT: For the record I'm thinking of a joint story venture. If it were Bioware writing/plotting combined with tri-Ace game design it'd actually be really good, even ME at it's worst is far preferable to anything in Star Ocean 4 and largely preferable to the first three games.

I left so after the 4d of so3....it killed totally my interest in the so scope. It seems I didn't lost much with so4....

I said many times in our Gundam thread that Shinn was the worst lead ever in Gundam.
By the time I finished AGE arc 1 I no lie backtracked like a little bitch and flat said that I would take Shinn as a lead over Flit any day of the week. When I did so the only thing that happened was people kept saying sorry because of how bad it was going to be when I got to Kio and his crying only to be made worse by the fact he doesn't ever accomplish or do anything of note.
When have we ever been able to trust SE with Sci Fi? Tri Ace made all the Star Ocean games, and lets be honest the stories in 3 and 4 at least are some of the worst shit on the planet, even Toriyama's XIII nonsense can't stand up to some of the "great" plot twists in those games.
