Seeing this just makes me question why we aren't seeing more people complain about an entire game made of that when people are getting upset over ZSS' alt in Smash 4...

For God's sake, they're shorts.

Because people like to complain about silly things, it would be like if I complained about a princess game because there were no male characters, despite said game obviously wasn't made for me.

I don't think when they were creating Senran Kagura they were worrying if their female demographic was going to be offended by it. Nor do the people who buy the games care about the people complaining.

With that said...porn is free online...not that I know about that sort of thing.

Damage is a strong word. It's more like bad PR.

Even movies and music have those weird genres that go deep in the Woolie Hole.

Well, that's precisely what's wrong with the article. That it bothers to do no research and then cites this single fanservice game as damaging the entire immensely-flawed industry. It's preposterous.

The ironic part is because of that article which said not to read about it or look up anything about it made the pre order numbers skyrocket to number 1 at some retailer. Not sure which I'll have to find it.

Edit: It was ShopTo

Hey you guys see Plagues patreon? He's kickin ass.

I wish him the best of luck. It looks like he's doing pretty good so far.

From the thread, it sounded like a clickbait article rather than a true discussion of anything fan service related.

What?? There really is no such thing as bad PR then...

Which ultimately lead for the sequel being considered being released over here, things sure have a way of working themselves out.

Wait, what?

It was a sorta big deal back when it came out. Nintendo twitter, and ONM twitter, was on fire and the creator of the series expressed he was upset at the lack of professionalism.

People in the thread are pre-ordering the game with no intention of playing it, just to spite the article that was so poorly researched.

That's where the discussion went.
I'm not a fan of those games but I guess someone is if they exist.

Well of course that's where the discussion went. Because people read the article and recognized that it was really awful, and hyperbole to the highest degree. There's still some people who agreed.

It definitely did the opposite and made me look into it. Behind all the fanservice it's a pretty fun brawler.

I bought it. It's better written than 80% of games today, and shits all over David Cage's stories. I can say that with a straight face.

Plot twist: That guy was payed off by the devs to create that shitty article just for this reason.

YES! All it took was a trip to a RadioShack, but I got a smaller screwdriver to get those last two fucking screws out of the system. Modification of my PS2 has now resumed!

That is like the lowest bar anyone could ever set for any kind or form of literature.
The game could have not had any writing and just fill every scene with more life and hometown and still be better written than david cage's stories.

Fair enough.

I'm just saying the writing is pretty good, as it has visual novel portions. I was surprised because it actually engaged me, even if the game is centered around life and hometown. The manga and the anime apparently butchered any quality writing and focused on fanservice, predictably. But SK:Burst is actually a pretty lengthy, fun beat'em up with a lot of text/voice acting.

Oh my god...

...I don't know how to feel about that.

I admittedly didn't watch much Digimon or had much interest it.

He's not the character most people will cite when asked anything Digimon, but he has his fans and his character is one of the more memorable ones from the show.
Plus he gets with the pink-haired girl in the epilogue.

Forget persona, Senran Kagura is the real waifu simulator
blonde girl that gropes the other girls is best girl

Is Senran actually good? All I know is that its a brawler with lots of fan service. I've thought about getting the vita game, but I don't want to drop $50 on nothing.

I have the 3DS one, its pretty decent. Its a beat em up so you know what to expect and it doesn't have much depth to it. The girls themselves are fun and the dialogue is fun. I didn't get too far into it though

I've heard a lot better things about the vita one though.

All this talk about Fanservice makes me wonder if I should inert more into my writing. Even though I have a lot of female characters, some even being the main characters of the story. there is very little Fanservice in the stories themselves.

No talk about boob sizes, no beach episode...I never felt the need to put that kind of stuff in my writing.

Because, I watch porn.

But if people enjoy it, then maybe I should put more in it.

Have you ever tried finding a used on on Ebay or something? Or are you like me to where it HAS to be new?

I'd prefer new but I also don't really have the money for one right now.

I haven't played the vita game but from what I hear it's more akin to Musou games.

I like you. Katsuragi is definitely best girl.

If you dislike fanservice, then you shouldn't get it. It's clearly a fanservice game first and foremost.

But it has responsive controls, launchers, air combos, supers... nothing groundbreaking, but it's nice mindless fun. It does get repetitive, though. Like I said, Burst has a decent story along with it, I think. And despite what you see in screenshots, the fanservice isn't quite as pervasive as you'd assume. It's basically restricted to exactly what you've already seen in any gifs (it's rated T).

I don't know about Shinovi Versus. People say it's better. It's more of a Musou than a beat'em up, and there's more fanservice. There's also online play with up to four players, I believe. There are a lot of different characters with different playstyles. Not really sure if the story is any good.
