It's easy to criticize when you're sitting there with a wiki while the video you're watching is at least a week old.

No its easy to criticise when you've played the game.

Meh, negativity is just the price they have to pay for being E-celebs. Plus the medium means people will be watching their every move. I do think they bring it on themselves with their brashness sometimes.

I try to be constructive but sometimes its hard especially when they shit talk something for a mistake that they made. Hard to talk and play I should try it myself etc etc blah.

Is Mike even trying anymore?
What a scrub
Once I appear on the scene, Mike just cowers in fear.
Matt Provides some insight on the MKX LP and also this Friday's FNF including one FNF for the future

Fucking called that shit!
Watch FNF be MKX "Test Your Luck" for an hour.

They're already confirming a second FNF for MKX while Ultimax is nowhere to be found. That's hilarious.
That's cause they know what the true game to revisit is.
That said, they did Third Sttrike twice.

I was more specifically talking about the bloodborne LP and how people were giving them shit for missing things when they were playing at launch. I mean yeah they're gonna miss stuff everyone is when they play a game like this for the first time. At least it's better than the gamegrumps LP which my roommate said it took Arin like five episodes for him to transform his weapon

Yeah, even I've been not paid much attention to their mistakes with Bloodline (Apart from Gazzagate) its a new game that's obtuse as fuck that prides itself on fucking people over.

Pat also has a hatred for puzzles. For example: He gave up playing hearthstone because he didn't want to do the deck building... A little extreme, but understandable... Since he doesn't like puzzles....
Sometimes I wonder how RE and SH became some of his favorite games. I'm just staring at my games thinking of all the things Pat likes that are puzzle games. Guy talks up Ghost Trick every other month. I don't get it.
There's generally more discussion to be had over failings than praises. You're always gonna have a portion of people who get upset by it, the the people who backlash because they feel it's gotten too harsh.

I'd just generally ignore comments that are "nnnnngh play better nnnngh"

Things to talk about generally are things they mentioned, shit they screwed up, hype thing, dumb thing, and sometimes the game. Usually shit they screwed up is the thing most talked about when it happens. They were fucking that dog pretty bad with the Revelaitons puzzle. I never watched the Evil Within LP and I can't imagine what some of those puzzles would be like now. Hopefully cutting happened.

I feel like the shit's pretty fine with the regards to play better. I'm not looking at the youtube comments because god no, but the reddit and here are the same mostly. Bad at puzzles and jeez or something. They'll see it, hopefully learn from their mistakes, and then pick up their LP bags and mosey along to the next dumb puzzle they might screw up. Hopefully they don't though.

Also here's a cool comic a Ink_Bird posted on the reddit. It's really good somehow. We don't deserve this practically hiimdaisy, but better, art.

When do they do that? Most of the time when they have trouble with puzzles their reaction is "wow we're idiots"

So glad that they were able to explore the village and get the spear. Time for Paarl hype!

What im actually surprised pat hasnt noticed yet is that since he knows the door after paarl is for Old Yarnham, why hasnt he figured out this is another optional area.

Not so much a puzzle, but by the third(?) episode of Revelations 2 Matt still thinks the invisible collectibles were the developers being 'lazy' and putting all the modes together, I can't believe that's not the first thing he asked Liam about.

Actually if you really want to see the full effect of this, just watch the Evil Within playthrough.

The Evil Within. It's probably the most egregious in that a lot of that playthrough is made up of moments like it. EDIT: A lot of it was down to Matt's awful advice and general apathy.

You think they are just going to try and brute force paarl and have him be their 4th boss?

He was my 6th, and he still gave me trouble until I realized I should stop locking on to him.

Well, if they learn the gimmick around him, yeah, they can do it.

But Father G took them a couple of parts...

That was probably leftover salt from the game crashing multiple times and having to play a version that has those black bars.

That said, had Pat not replayed that early sections again, he wouldn't have picked up lots of the tactics and tricks. Actually, seeing them redo areas due to whatever technical issues like the mic going out, and realizing there was a whole other way of doing things... those were the best moments for me.

So really it's a blessing in disguise lol.

It's so huge, though; how can it be optional? Also, they skipped ahead past a whole tombstone! That definitely means it's mandatory.

It should have been Liam.

You're still salty about TEW?

I can't do anything but laugh and sigh now.

It was a double blind LP. It went about as well as I can expect one to.

I think the Matt & Pat duo works best at games like Prison Break or Heavy Rain, where the audience can laugh with them at dumb shit, not at them.

Double Blind LPs would work well for Matt & Woolie or Pat & Liam.

I'm a little bit salt because what I expected to be a decent LP was for the most part trash. Also it was the best example to the question given.

Best episode in that LP was the Solo Pat one. We need more Pat talking to himself LP's

Pat should release Riff Trax-like audio only LPs for games. Fuck editing a video, just release the entire session in a download file. It'd serve a portion of the audience that doesn't follow/care for the video who can play along with that section of the game

Sadly I think they will. I'm surprised they keep putting off on buying the key knowing exactly what it's for.

I don't think any of this is constructive criticism though. It's just "DURNNNGH DO IT GUD".

I think people need to rephrase their complaints to mean what they want them to do. You can't tell them about specific instances that were recorded weeks and weeks ago.

So an example of something constructive is "I don't like double blind LPs". Cause that causes most of these problems.

It is what it is.

They have improved significantly from their first LP and the effort shines through.

I'm not expecting perfection from them. It's unrealistic to expect it.

I expect competency and decent forward planning. Especially when they've been doing this for so long.

Obviously thats aimed at starting LP under the best conditions to maximize potential. They aren't going to be perfect because playing games and talking is hard.

Seraphis Cain

bad gameplay lol
I'd at least like them to read the instructions for older games before they play instead of jumping in completely blind. At least that way they wouldn't have any more "didn't know there was a run button" moments like in Mario RPG.

So do I, but you and I both know that they aren't guys with polish. That's why we love them(at least I do to an extent).

If they were professional through and through, I think they'd lose that special chemistry that make them so appealing, then it'd be soulless and phoned in.

They have 3-4 concurrent running LPs that they're managing. I think they're getting to the point where they should seriously consider outside help.

I don't know what you mean, 'forward planning' meaning "not double blind"?

I think he wants them to have a plan regarding how they should attack blind LPs and at least read digital manual inserts. That way they can inform the audience better.

Ha, nice bookends on today's Bloodborne ep. They probably made the length longer so they could have the episode do that

Who are the best Zaipatsu members to play said game, is the game viable enough to maintain a full LP without a huge quality dip (Madworld), are individual members actually interested in said game, should it be a double blind LP?

I do think expectation fuels a lot of the fuck ups. Like certain members being expected to play certain games.

Just little things to ensure quality and make sure we aren't getting landed with a bleh LP that we'll be stuck with for the foreseeable.

I'm like the Roger Ebert of the Zaibatsu.

The best is Pat saying he was talking to German Spy about how Bloodborne seems too linear; don't worry, you'll find the second non-optional boss someday.

BB stuff.
Woolie: "The final boss is Gehrman and the second to last boss is Nurse Ratchet"

If he only knew how fucking spot on he actually was.

Hindsight is 20/20, but sure.

Like with Evil Within, they said they expected a feelgood end to the shitstorm.

lmao, I also chalk Kano's Blanka ball up as just being cybernetics. Or perhaps it is just a special ancient Australian technique.

I like that you can tap-dance on his skull for as long as you want and it doesn't do anything, but you go a little harder on his junk than a high-price escort and suddenly he's done with the necromancy for the day.

lmao, I also chalk Kano's Blanka ball up as just being cybernetics. Or perhaps it is just a special ancient Australian technique.

The best part about the Blanka Ball is that even once you've somehow managed to suspend disbelief over how it's possible to perform it, you're then stuck trying to figure out how in the world it even does less damage to the person doing it than the thing they're doing it to. Probably my favorite super dumb fighting game move, even above the Flying Peach.
