That's the problem wth industry. People care more about the characters and story and graphics than in the game itself. It's like they are not aware that the most and only important thing in a videogame is the gameplay. Good thing that Nintendo rarely forgets it and that's why I enjoy their games while the rest of the industry is shameful, reviewers, developers and even some gamers.

3D World worse than Galaxy 2 confirmed. That game didn't get a single score below 9 on metacritic, really crazy how overwhelmingly positive the reception was.
It still blows my mind how well both Galaxy games were received. Not because they didn't deserve it, but because it almost never happens.

Thanks for the spoilers Escapist... I was eagerly awaiting to discover who might be the antagonist in this installation of Mario. Would have never guessed Bowser.

Guys, I was joking on the first part (even though I would be really surprised if I enjoyed this game as much as I enjoyed the Galaxy games, but who knows), my post was really about how incredible the reception for Galaxy games was, as Zalman pointed out. Even high-scoring games like GTA 5 and the such get some less positive reviews, Galaxy 2 just didn't, all media outlets went crazy for it.
