Seriously though, the "how much bigger are they" comment really is suspicious.
Pic of the day. A group shot of the big guys. How much bigger are they compared to Mario?

Everyone talking about Ridley and his size... and we get a screenshot of Mario hanging with a bunch of "big guys".
Well now, ain't that an interesting coincidence.
If anything, the boxing ring makes me think that he has less of a chance. Why would they put in a generic ring and a Punch-out ring? (I'm not buying the argument that it's secretly a punch-out stage. Every single franchise stage in the games has extreme amounts of personality and is immediately obvious where it's from).
It would be interesting if there will be another "big guy" character being announced. Who could it be?
Well, Wario is also bigger than Mario.
GAF talks about Ridley every two days. It's just a coincidence.Holy crap that is a freaky coincidence. Either Sakurai himself reads gaf and enjoys laughing at us, a Nintendo employee reads gaf and they teamed up with him to laugh at us, or fate is a bitch and enjoys laughing at us.
>the big guys
>implying there are no more
Sakurai you fucking PRICK. Where are K. Rool and Ridley?
Man, I cant believe it took until brawl for dedede to show up

This is why I believe Palutena is in the game. It's obvious. Plus, she's another female character which we've lacked in the series.Sakurai was afraid to show favoritism to his series I believe...and then changed his mind in Brawl and made EVERYTHING Kirby.
I wouldn't be surprised if we see a lot of elements borrowed from Uprising this time around.

A little too big...Sure is a big update, wouldn't you say?
Pantalones giganticus!Sure is a big update, wouldn't you say?

Sakurai is a ninja turtle.
Mario is bigger than all of themwhen he up taunts.and ridley
But he was my favorite character in Smash 64!
If I recall correctly, he didn't get in Melee because Sakurai didn't want it to seem like he was over-representing his work.
Sure is a big update, wouldn't you say?
It is immediately obvious if you have played Punch-Out!! Wii.
Ooh, I really like the franchise icons there! I'd consider doing that with mine but I don't know what I'd do about some of the new franchises like Punch-Out!! and Xenoblade Chronicles and such.
I added Dixie Kong and rearranged everything to match my original layout -- the "core four" are in the center, and the third-parties are in the corners. Since each new Smash Bros. game has a radically different character layout, I figured my previous design was too similar to Melee with the series arranged horizontally.
It's actually secretly a new animal crossing stage anyway.

It is also immediately obvious that the Smash stage doesn't look like that.
Well, two things here.
One, the ring in Punch-Out has never been memorable in its own right, since the focus is always squarely on the boxers.
Two, why would there be a generic ring?
I think you might have missed something...
I don't know, why do we have generic battlefield and final destination?
I was thinking the same thing.... Was Dedede always that much bigger than Mario? I feel like unless it's just the angle they've fucked around with character scales a bit more in this one.
It was a joke. It does bear resemblances to the punch out ring. I'm just skeptical that they would tease like that.Aren't you saying that the stage is "generic" enough that it could look like any ring from a Nintendo game?
So Smash for will be the first Smash game with more than two Smash Universe stages?
