Such as bad idea to even say something like this, UNLESS it's a Rockstar game.

Already everyone is going to assume it's something for GTA or more likely a new Red Dead.

Everyone will be let down/pissed when it doesn't happen.

Your move Take Two.

Red dead would be amazing

maybe they'll leave the online portion completely open like they did with the first one where it was completely a wild west scenario, had so much fun with that lol

I wouldn't take this as an indication Rockstar-shaped, because let's face it, they don't need E3. They haven't need E3 since GTA III.

Nah, this'll be Ken Levine shaped.

I don't think BL3

gearbox seems content with what they are working on, also apparently BL3 is supposed to be way different from the first two?

I really hope it's Agent, Bully 2, or Red Dead 3, but I also would love to see the meltdown when it's Table Tennis 2.

A friend of mine specifically said Rockstar would be there, but now it seems that hasn't been confirmed at all yet?

It's not typical for Rockstar to announce something huge during E3, except of course GTAV remaster during E3 at Sony's show, but I think we all knew that was going to come anyway. Red Dead 3 would be fantastic though and if that happens I'm sure they will do that during Sony's show, even though it's a given it'll be a multiplatform game.

Between 2K and Rockstar [via Wikipedia]...

BioShock series
Borderlands series
Civilization series
Grand Theft Auto series
Mafia series
Max Payne series
Midnight Club series
MLB 2K series
NBA 2K series
Red Dead series
WWE 2K series
XCOM series

As well as one-offs (currently) like RDR, Battleborn, Bully, Table Tennis, etc...

There's a lot there to choose from. I'd expect your sports games, Battleborn, the new Mafia game, and hopefully something non-GTA related from Rockstar. Maybe Manhunt?

Also, Strauss Zelnick is a dope name. Next RPG I play I'm naming my character that.

I'd expect some new IP announcements probably in MOBA / hero shooter genre because..
As much I'd love it to be a new Rockstar game, I honestly don't know if I should expect one this year. Considering the last 3 years have been them coasting off GTA V remaster cash with the heists being the last real substantial content from them for the game, I guess one thing to expect would be some single-player DLC tied to the casino "coming soon" and maybe one more substantial story heist. In addition, I honestly can't remember the last time Rockstar has revealed a non-vaporware game of theirs at E3. GTA 5 was through a random website update, Max Payne 3 was a GI cover, and I believe all their other games haven't been announced at any of the major conferences.

I mean, I'd put my money on one being a new MMOHeroFPS, another being a new IP from one of the other 2K studios or the announcement of the publishing rights to a hot new indie game (probably Ken Levine's new thing), with a very unlikely 3rd being something Rockstar made.

RDR 2 would make sense though, considering the timeline of its predecessor of about 5 years from development start to final release. Considering this May would be the 6 (!) year anniversary of Red Dead Redemption, it does seem plausible it could be a sequel.

EDIT: Oh wait, they're Battleborn? Maybe not a MOBAFPS, then. We really need a better name for these types of games.

Reactions to people flipping out over Rockstar's (lack of) presence is always nice, but I got super hooked on Borderlands recently and can't wait for the next one. Hopefully it's coming soon :D

No, Crecente asked Pitchford if it's going to be a shift or will be in the same vein as the previous games which the answer was they're figuring it out. Obviously he wasn't going to give a concrete answer, also don't expect them to make radical changes, but mostly stick to the formula.
