Sounds pornographic.

Only if Catwoman is the lead villain. Black hair please and I don't mean Halle Berry: it's a shame Phiefer is too old.

On a side note a Harley Quinn / Joker combo would work and would be one of the only ways I could see them successfully replacing Heath Ledger.

Another problem with the name is that it sounds like a second parter, not a third parter.

Not only is this part 3, it's the finale of Nolan's Batman movies.

I always thought that name was hilarious.

Batman Forever is an epically awesome sounding name, even though it did this:

"Batman will never die? Yay, you gave away the ending!"

Interesting. Title speaks to redemption and so unlikely Nolan will take Bats deeper into hell and to his ultimate destruction

still excited

Nolan: ‘Dark Knight Rises’ finds the future in IMAX, not 3D http://lat.ms/9KGFOv

“The title of the new film is ‘The Dark Knight Rises‘ and we will be shooting and exhibiting the film in 2D,” Nolan said of the third Batman film

“We want the look and feel of the film to be faithful to what has come before in the first two films,” Nolan said. “There was a large canvas and operatic sweep to ‘The Dark Knight’ and we want to make a film that will carry on with that look and feel.”

…our ambitions for the third movie is to complete a story that has begun. This is not starting over, this not rebooting. We’re finishing something and keeping a consistency with what’s come before has real value.”

Hawt.

Going in blind is the best thing when dealing with last of trilogy. Of coarse most fan boys will over saturate.

I honestly think the biggest question mark for me in Batman 3 is Bale. Which Christian Bale is going to appear? The solid actor who carried BB on his shoulders, or the scenery chewing, over the top shmuck who he has become over the past 3-4 years and who phoned in TDK?

Also, note to Christopher Nolan: fucking with Bale's already bad Batman voice in post-production sucks. Stop doing it. Ruined entire scenes of your last Batman movie.

The first half of BB is better than everything that's TDK.

No it isn't.

And also Michael Keaton still has the best Batman voice in film. They should just get him to dub over Bale's voice in the suit :lol

This. Bruce was such a strong and likeable character in the first film. I'm not sure I even liked Batman/Bruce in TDK - but I feel a lot of that has to do with how much character development time was taken away from him and given to Dent.

Reading through this thread now makes me think Dark Knight Rises is a decent title after initially thinking it was bad.

Batman: Caped Crusader wtf :lol

What? And Batman Begins was a better title?? I like The Dark Knight Rises...

I don't think it's a good title period, but I think more people are turned off by it because it's too similar to the title of the preceding film-- in fact there's only a one-word difference. It's repetitious and doesn't distinguish itself enough like the other two titles do.

The Dark Knight 3D

yeah I'm pretty sure that that's even worse. :lol
