It's definitely a port of the Arcade (AES/MVS) release.

Would've been nice to have the best of both worlds (MVS/AES speed and graphics quality, CD Music and Sound) and have a REAL.DEFINITIVE.VERSION. But it still looks great!

Can someone confirm again that the heat haze effects is in? And also blood and decapitation? Also any VA for the story scene? What about graphics filter? Only scanline and smooth? No sharp option like 2xsal in most emulator?

It looks like it has the same frames as the mvs version but without the "burning" effect.
Its one of the laggiest stages in the game so without it "maybe" in this version the combos can be done easier here but still that means its an "imperfect" port.

Lmao! My game just froze in training mode. Holyshit. I'm still at the same stage and left it at idle few seconds and this happens.

You guys are really expecting too much from a Code Mystics port of an SNK game. This is how it goes. They are quick/cheap ports, and that's it.
Well, they did fix some bad flickering on Metal Slug 3, so it can happen (unlikely though).
So just because it's a SNK port done by Code Mystics it's trash? What's your point?
Kof 98 and 2002 for Steam are great ports. Also Super Star Wars PS4.

If the translation is really unchanged, I'm not buying it anytime soon.
"Trash" would be a bit too harsh, but Code Mystics ports (especially of SNK games) are always extremely barebones. Hell, sometimes they're not even ports at all, just emulations running within the emulator that Code Mystics built.

I've only had it happen in training mode so far. With that said, the game has only been out for a few hours. It may very well happen in other game modes.
It happened again at the same stage in training mode. I'm going to try another stage.
Yeah, I've always been a fan of KOF's SNKglish, but it was really something else seeing KOF XIII where all the dialogue was actually translated properly for once. Last Blade was some of the worst SNKglish too, not bad enough to be a completely comical trainwreck like Samurai Shodown always was, but not good enough to have any kind of flavor whatsoever.

we should compile a list of things that required to update
-missing graphcial effects like heat haze in the burning stage.
-arrange sound track missing (I think someone mention it earlier)
-sharp graphic filter (personally prefer at least 2xsal over bilinrear filter and scan line)

Bad news. The freeze happens in VS mode too on the same stage.

Good list. I'm expecting some glitches to get fixed, but we can only hope for the rest
Edit: I'd throw in remap Continue button. It's mapped to the TouchPad but some sticks (like mine) don't have it.
