Kevin mentioned that P4G shows percentages for choices you made, and I really do not remember that at all. I can't even remember a point in the game where you would make a choice like that. Anyone able to refresh my memory or was Kevin thinking of the wrong game?

It showed you what most people did that day. It's pretty worthless honestly. Like who they hung out with on that day.

We will make it happen, even before PAX. Us antisocial folks need to loosen up a bit. Just some Japanese curry and some streetpassing.

Created a Player 1 Podcast PS4 community in case folks are interested in that sort of thing. You should be able to find it in my profile (SuperPac). I don't think there's a way to search communities yet? Maybe there is and I missed it.

It felt like Phil was called into the principal's office and asked to justify his behavior lest he get suspended.

It's not like we don't know the retail prices of the innumerable playsets, fun sets, extra sets for Finn. You had to make Phil say the number he spent on Lego Dimensions. Then when the number he revealed was far in excess of even Greg's wildest imaginings, there was basically silence and "Yep, yep."

Poor Phil.

This is probably just me, and, if so, ignore this, but I really wish you guys would either cancel the current "Game Club" that Patreon was supposed to help fund or do a smaller game (something less than an hour on iOS so CJ can play half of it) because this Bully thing is seemingly never going to happen.

I'm happy to chip in every episode/month on Patreon for the countless hours of entertainment over the near decade you guys have been doing this, but I wish this wasn't looming over every episode as it is for me, constantly guessing "are they going to acknowledge the Game Club at all?".

Lego Dimensions sounds like the worst cash grab of all time and exploitative towards parents. That's good business but god damn does hearing Phil talk about it and how it is all laid out sound like a nightmare. Surprised people aren't upset at all about this.

It still sounds a million times more consumer friendly than Disney Infinity.

Lego Dimensions is too expensive for me to even attempt to follow. I don't like Lego enough anymore to jump in. I think i'll get the Portal ones tho.

Really good episode this week. It never really derailed in a bad way, it still felt focused and I liked the episode a lot.

He's busy with life stuff at the mo.

My thoughts on collecting:

If you're collecting to create a library for the sake of preservation, then I get it.

I had this problem with comics and toys. The worst thing is they start to deteriorate, if you dont keep in closed spaces. Fucking fungus and mildew.

Now a lot of my comics and toys are in this plastic box. At least you can put in some hidden place of your house and not worrying so much.

Next time someone gives CJ grief for vaguesplaining a game he's playing, remember the five minutes Phil spent discussing the two different types of attack in Chibi Robo ;)

I've fallen behind all podcasts but yesterday I listened to two episodes and it's still great and I even laughed out loud at some of the stuff that was said. (Lack of sleep also contributed. ;-)

That's the end of the post!

I actually went through and imported Theatrhythm Dragon Quest and Rhythm Tengoku for the 3DS, and while it ended up being wee bit more complicated than expected, it ended up being great! I have to thank Kevin for bringing this to my attention. I may just end up getting a Japanese 3DS in the end because worrying about system updates and whatnot is lame, but I never would have took the plunge if I didn't get to try the games first. You are cool in my book CoachKevin!

Anyway, Yoshi's Woolly World is probably the best I have seen from Nintendo when it comes from molding the new with the old in a 2D platformer. Getting rid of lives, making the different collectibles unlock different things (and not having to collect all of them to unlock levels), but still maintaining the Yoshi charm is something it deserves high praise for. Yoshi sequels have tried to do this in the past, and have been disappointing, but Woolly World hits the mark for me.

Episode 0 of the Player One Podcast was uploaded on Oct 22, 2006. I can't believe it's been nine years.

Happy anniversary, CJ...you glorious bastard!

I think Attack of the Clones may be my favorite of the sequels, too. It's not that it's a great movie, it's more that I really disliked Revenge of the Sith.

Sometime before Ep. 7 I intend to watch the three prequels again. I like to think time, and my distaste for them, may make me a bit more tolerant -- going in with really low expectations.

Episode 468: Big Squeaky Hammer

Join us, won’t you?

Saw Jurassic World over the weekend and yeah. No idea why that particular character's death was dragged out for so long and was so brutal. Just a really weird scene.

The whole mine craft story mode talk reminded me that this is probably going to be a lot of kids first episodic game... Wonder how well that'll go down with parents and kids

Boy that was a BRUTAL intro CJ, you should be ashamed of yourself. I thought we were getting Mike Phillips. Sorry Rich. This is CJ's fault. I like you. He just had me ready for something else.

Muahahahahahhaaaaaa... had to do it.

This week we're doing an episode with Double Fine's Greg Rice guesting. We'll talk about their Day of the Devs event (at which people can play an awesome game from Adult Swim, too!), indies, the news of the week, et cetera and all the usual stuff. Probably at least mention Headlander (for which, yes, I'm producer on the AS side). This one won't be streaming live but will be on YouTube after.

Yeah that was harsh. It's a good thing that Rich Grisham is such a delightful guest that I couldn't stay mad for long.
