will gently cradle you as time slowly ticks away.
All the other ScotGAF members here seem to be Celtic fans.

I need OuterWorldVoice to tell me he's a Hearts fan (at the very least) to restore any faith in GAF.

Just headed to London for the weekend. Am I right in thinking that the arcade in the Trocadero is closed now? Are there any others still open? Is the Namco place near the London Eye still open?

It's closed? I was at ground level during new years wasting time in HMV while waiting for someone and it looked like it was still open when I looked up the escalator.

Wow, another denizen of Aldershot on GAF! You poor fucker :lol. I'm up the top end near the big church. I don't envy you mate living near the stadium. I can hear the noise from up here when there's a match on, so must be a nightmare for you.

Yeah, when Aldershot played Man U it was like a police state out there. rozzers on horses, all night. It was quite fun though, I went out with my camera and was waiting for a fight to kick off :D

If you live up by the church does that mean you drink in the Garden Gate? That's my 'local' (it used to be more local but now it's a drunken stagger home down St George's Road) too, the retro games fest last week was pretty damn sweet.

tbh all of Scottish football is shit atm, the leagues are stagnant and there's very little good football going on.

The casino on Goodge Street is nice, there are regular players that go there. Haven't been there in years though.

Top Gear is shit.

Yeah, funland is gone, has been for a little while now. There's Las Vegas arcade round the corner still open and Casino next to Goodge Street station. The Namco place is still open, as you said.

downstairs in casino is like a wondrous time capsule from a time when arcades were actually arcades rather than misc. electronic entertainment centers filled with garish plastic shit. right down to the musk.

There's at least one Hibee and one Jambo around somewhere if my memory serves me correctly (Jameson the former?). :p Think you're out on your own with Rangers bizzarely. (Though EliCash is from N. Ireland, so there's one for UKGAF at least!)

Oh, missed this thread somehow.

Where do you live: Plymouth (everyone ever thinking of coming here, don't)
Where are you from: Lots of places. My father was in the Navy until I was 8 so I don't really remember any specific town as being my 'home'. Plymouth has had the most mileage, though.
Occupation: Between jobs right now, which is the polite way of saying graduate dole scum. I do on-and-off photoshop and indesign work for a school photo-shop company whenever they can get the bookings for less than minimum wage as a favour.
University: Lancaster University, I did English Literature, Creative Writing and Practice. Before the big credit crisis hit in my final year, that was a really safe degree to pick as it showed general skills applicable to all work environments. These days it's nothing but a weight around my neck and a bunch of debt.
Sports team of choice: Don't really have one. My father's from Liverpool so we generally watch those games together, but players are bought, sold and swapped so much these days that I don't see how anyone can remain attached to any of the premiere league footie teams. I always watch Andy Murray play tennis but half the time I hate him for being a whiny bitch.
Current political party of choice: None of them. They're all cunts.
Barm, batch, cob or bun: Bun. But in the context it's usually used in, probably "butty"
Favourite (current) UK TV show: It was Sherlock, but that's over now. I've really no idea. QI is something I flick the iPlayer onto if bored. Right now I'm obsessed with Take Me Out but I wouldn't call it my favourite show because that'd be admitting defeat.
Oasis or Blur: Aw, shit. Er. Hm. Okay, for their first two albums - Oasis. As a growing career that produced wonderful talent and then spawned Gorillaz - Blur.

Maaaaaaaaaaan, looking through Amazon for TV boxsets is depressing. I was wondering if Party Down ever got shown over here- nope. The search also let me know that Parks & Rec and Freaks and Geeks are also absent. So many other shows are just out-of-date too. Ugh.

What happened to Channel 4 picking up almost every NBC sitcom going? Comedy Central could easy use some Always Sunny or Community in it's schedule, too. But New Girl gets picked up. Weird.
