I would gladly pay $60 for Alpha Anthology on Switch
Maybe if this sells? But it will probably flop
Absolutely. The disrespect Capcom has shown the Alpha series is infuriating.

You are paying $15 for the TV mode, $15 for portable mode, $10 for Way of the Hado.HD Remix was released for $15 back in 2008. Why the hell is this being priced at $40?
Just look at the Eurogamer review.so are the reviews mostly complaining about the pricepoint or is the game actually terribad?because if its the former i will just buy it (have a semi decent deal on amazon)
I'm starting to believe the rumors that Nintendo doesn't allow charging different prices for physical and digital, that the only way Sega got away with it was by putting keychains in the box so they could claim it had a higher value.Just wish they would have done what Sega did at the very least. Charge $40 for physical, and then just make it $30 on the eShop.
Just look at the Eurogamer review.
Avoid it. It's a disaster.
Better games are priced 30$ and deserve more attention than this bad, rushed, overpriced package. (imo, of course)There are more reviews in the world than just Eurogamer's and most of them have said it's a fun game and they've enjoyed their time with it, but it's not worth the price. Just look at the GameXplain review. Like the poster you were replying to, I used Amazon Prime to get USF2 for $31.99, and I can justify that price for the package I am getting.

For 39.99 you can get a much better fighting game with loads more content (Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2).
Unless you're a Switch-only owner...then you have my condolences.

but then you are playing Guilty Gear
that's not an upgrade, friend

Currently the number one selling game on Amazon US.
Amazing. Capcom gets away with shitty Street Fighter releases these days now.
Nothing amazing about it, really, once you remind yourself neogaf is an echo chamber of gaming enthusiasts completely separate and distinct from the mass consumers to whom publishers cater. How many times have we been wrong?

Aren't they publicly traded? Can you really have that much problem getting money when you're a corporation?
With no D-Pad it also kind of limits the appeal of having a fighting game on Switch.
Bleh.

I know I am going to probably end up biting. It's good to know I won't be alone.

It's so baffling. It was already included in HD Remix.Because Capcom doesn't like giving fans what they want
Up until SF4. Alpha has received tons and tons of releases. From PS1 to PS2 to GBA to Vita. I'd say its the 2nd most ported series after SF2 series.
I've seen the reviews and I get the issues people have with the price. But, for those of you that bought it, is it fun? Same ol SFII? I enjoy street fighter in general so if the game is actually good then I'll consider buying it. Overpriced or not.
This is a flawed game- it's a port of HD Remix with some stuff removed and some stuff added. Online is as barebones as it gets- just 1-on-1 fights with no lobbies. Net code has been a mixed bag. Seems like there's some bad balance issues.
But you know what? I'm having a fucking blast playing this game. I forgot how much fun old-school SF2 can be. The fights go quick and it feels like it's really anyone's game right up until the end. I already am having way more fun playing this than I have with all the time I've spent playing Injustice 2.

Is there a reason why this doesn't include ssf2 turbo?
This is the company that expected RE7 to sell 10 million copies
It isn't a port of HDR. Not at all. It is a completely different game than HDR.

^ Is this not an accurate statement? Looks like they removed some online features, ability to play original Super Turbo, and added some new characters/balance changes/Hado minigame. But it's still the same base game it looks like.it's a port of HD Remix with some stuff removed and some stuff added.
