Ultra Street Fighter IV PS3/360 upgrade coming in june for $15 Standalone $40 in Aug

CapCombofiend has spoken!

http://www.capcom-unity.com/combofi...om-cup-schedule-and-usfiv-release-information

Next up is the release date information for Ultra Street Fighter IV. Right now, we are hard at work to bring the game to all of our fans as soon as possible, and want to ensure there is enough time that players can practice to compete at Evolution 2014. As such, the digital upgrade will be available in early June for $14.99 (€14.99) on PS3 and Xbox 360. Following shortly after in August, is the digital upgrade for PC at $14.99 (€14.99), as well as the PS3 and Xbox360 full digital bundle and retail versions, which include all previously-released costumes for $39.99 (€39.99). Since our PC fans have to wait longer for the content, we have a special deal where they can get the full digital bundle including all of the previously-released costumes for only $29.99 (€29.99), also in August. Apologies to our PC fans, as we did want to release simultaneously, but this was the only way that we could ensure that Ultra Street Fighter IV would be included in the largest fighting game tournament in the world.

So in the meantime, make it out to one of the location tests or Capcom Cup to try out Ultra Street Fighter IV and be sure to check back here to Unity for the latest updates on the new exciting content coming to Ultra Street Fighter IV.

Nice. I also like that as an owner of vanilla Super SFIV (I never bought the AE expansion), I'll be able to upgrade right up to Ultra.

PS4/XB1 port plz!!!!

I don't even care if the graphics are barely updated. Now that the systems aren't backwards compatible it's a pain keeping ps3 and 360 around.

Blinded by the luminous glory that is David Bowie's physical manifestation.
If PC has to wait til Aug. drop the upgrade from $15 to $10-12, Capcom. :/

Steamworks, gfwl will be dead by the time the game is released in any case.

By a month when Ultra releases.

Do they still plan on removing GFWL from AE, or do I have to pay another $15 for that privilege?

I guess it's too much to expect free upgrades in the wake of WB and 2K's generosity with GFWL removal.

Why do we even know this game exists.

EDIT: "Why" As in, a year long wait for a 5 character update seems a little much. This thing should've been announced... around now or early next year. But I guess testing requires a longer time in the public eye.

That's way later than I expected.

EVO is going to suck this year. One month isn't really enough time for the game to grow.

August for PC...guess I don't have to get that arcade stick any time soon.

I'm trying to follow the thread here. You're willing to pay the $15 for the upgrade, but also want them to retroactively remove it for AE?

I'm not really interested in another paid SF4 update, but I still play AE from time to time. Would love to still be able to play it online when GFWL dies.

I get the logic in wanting AE to have online still, but let's face it, if you care much about online you should probably upgrade anyway to Ultra since that's where most of the community will be.

I don't believe they said if AE will retroactively get Steamworks or not, it's a good question though.

Was really looking forward to this for Feb/March. Thought I'd be able to put the PS3/360 away by next Summer, looks like that won't be the case unless we get a magical PS4/Bone announcement.

The delay is gonna hurt the game at Evo as well, 1 month won't be enough to let the game mature.

I bet there will be full retail PS4 and XBONE versions too. Hey it's Capcpom.
The PC delay....not so good.I hope there will be a disc release for PC.

Proudly debt free. If you need a couple bucks, just ask.
Wtf! I want the boxed copy for the costumes, why the hell is it coming out a month later? I'm positive they're doing it so people will double dip. Fuck you capcom.

no

because that Evo sucked as well

Well AE was released months prior on arcade before consoles....but yeah it sucked having it release right before EVO on console. Especially with the Japanese having a huge advantage at the time, haha.

Hmm, it was 11.99 for the arcade edition pack with all the costumes during the steam sale... 14.99 upgrade... guess I saved 3 bucks overall compared to waiting for that 29.99 version in August. *success*

You are probably right.

Many companies now release first on digital as an incentive to go digital and disc version follows after.

Still jun or aug? WTF.

Here's hoping they just choose to release for PS4 as well (AT THE SAME TIME)

I'd be willing to buy it again for a new console. I don't wanna play Xbox 360 anymore.

Also, it does kinda suck that it's only a month before EVO but at least we'll get a chance to see the game more fully developed the following year, as well as at other majors throughout the year

Damn, June 2014? That's gonna take fooooorrreeeevvvveeerrrrrr.

I'll be scrubbing it up with Blanka in AE2012 for a little while longer then.

So after likely deals (GMG/Steam pre-order discount etc), full PC version with all costumes version for around £25 - I can get with that.
