Uncharted 1 was a lot better when I went back to it after UC2 (still the better game). I felt like I 'got it' more.

Uncharted 2's pacing is fucking perfect though, and the gunplay and level design and stealth are just oodles better. I agree with what you're saying, but for me it's from like a 9.0 to a 10.5. Uncharted 2 is, like, Resident Evil 4 levels of good.

except ueda announced the release date as fall '11 at tgs, and when he did he said that's just the aim. that game is way better off in a heavy rain release period, as much as it coming so late makes me cry.

It doesn't matter when TLG hits honestly, because it definitely won't be as big as Uncharted, or some of the other games SCE will likely release in the Fall.

That's certainly true if Sony don't care about releases going forward, but if they want to pace their top releases they probably won't want to drop them so close. Either way it'd be a matter of months, no big deal, I've waited this long.

Uncharted aspires to be an cinematic experience, unlike most games, therefore it makes sense to view it not only in comparison to other games, but to the films it aspires to emulate. Find me an adventure film with such a grievous body count. I love the Uncharted series, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy pointing out some of its more ridiculous incongruities.

2011 will be as good a year for games as 2009 as it looks like. 2010 was a bit disappointing for me.

I read that article and I'm like... "OMG no, he's his father!?" :lol

Was my first thought. Hopefully that was just the writer being dumb.

There's a lot of unannounced stuff still you know. People say things like this every year for all systems and it works out in the end.

i wholeheartedly agree. 2010 seemed like such a meh year for games. 2011 (at least for ps3 owners) seems like it might top any year this gen though.

Think the title has some hint at carrying on the first game's story to some extent? Maybe even a prequel? The Drake in the first game's title wasn't Nathan, maybe this is Francis too.

So, I know it's early but... when you get the game, which will you do first? Story mode, or Multiplayer?

I think for me, this time, I will just straight into multiplayer, at least for a few hours to see what's new. Then start the real game. I've spent like 10x more time playing MP than Single on UC2.

I really, really need to play the first. The second was so god damn good, I want to see where it started before this comes out and makes it even harder to go back.
