Probably the best new IP series (not one and done) of this current generation. Can't wait for U4 .
I want an Uncharted with young Sully as the main protagonist.I don't care as long as there is more Sully.
I'm kind of tired of this argument playing out in every Uncharted thread. I'm up for them making some changes to the formula, but lots of people actually like Uncharted so the persistent whining over Naughty Dog working on their most successful series ever that is still on the upswing just seems bizarre to me. Give it a rest or don't play it (maybe better still).
I think it is perfectly fine to discuss what you want from a new Uncharted, but I'm getting sick of seeing people asking for new IP. You just got one. Why do they have to keep cranking out new IP? What kind of standard are we holding them to?
If Amy Hennig wants to make a new one, she should get to. And if you don't like that you can go into the woods and sit in a hole.
Great post, and I agree. But I have to ask. Was the last sentence bleed over from recent Seinfeld viewings?
It's my country's local site) Not English-speaking, so relax
You're not going to see Demon Souls 2 before they release Deep Down. Too many similarities and Sony wouldn't want to torpedo a third party exclusive.

Naughty Dog has limited resources, so i would like them to work on IPs i think have more potential left than something i'm not interested in.
It's not simply a matter of "just not play it" because as they develop Uncharted 4, they are also NOT developing something more interesting.
Of course they're free to do whatever they want, this goes for anyone including Capcom to transform Devil May Cry in DmC or Square rebooting Tomb Raider or what have you, however i'm just gonna keep pointing out how not ok with it i am.
Besides, it's not like i was opposed to the idea of Uncharted having sequels, infact, it had 3 of them (including Golden Abyss, though it wasn't from them directly), i just think it's really limiting them and i started to feel a fatigue, playing 3, where the awesome set pieces didn't impact me as they did in Uncharted 2.
It's not the same as those people who just ask for a series (Assassin's Creed, Silent Hill, etc) to be over, just because they don't like it, the point is that their resources are limited and i would like to see their talent applied elsewhere.
You're definitely entitled to do so, but I think the problem is: at what point does "Boo, new IP!" just become thread crapping noise in any thread about ND? I only read the first page but it's littered with it, and doesn't really seem to encourage discussion (IMHO).I don't understand the reasoning.

You don't like the games. That's fine. But calling them poor games? That's an extreme exaggeration.
Handing off the series to another developer is a bad idea. Franchise still has room to grow and only Naughty Dog can do the series justice.
Adam Boyes watching is the real news
But yeah, I've talked about Uncharted 4 on these forums... like months ago. It's the worst kept secret at Sony.

I wouldn't mind an UC4, I just hope they take a bit from TLOU in their approach to combat. You don't have to throw 100 bullet sponge enemies at me in every encounter.
That would be amazing if they used the AI systems from Last of Us in UC4 but applied the verticality of the series to it.
you sure that's a real account?
I thought the AI was a big weak point in TLOU. I do hope they give UC4 more of a tactical approach though.

And theres no indication at all its being made by ND? I mean, if they're making it its good in the sense that theres a 95% chance the game will be really good, on the other hand it means we won't see a new IP until 2016. On the flip side, wouldn't mind if Bend made it, but ND is a touch act to follow for those goes and I don't know if they can match that level of quality for a full console release.
I'm hoping UC series explores Sully's past. I think they can pull off a 3 series arc that features Sully up to the point he meets Nathan. =)
I hope they don't do a TLOU2. It was an excellent contained story. I don't see a reason to go back and revisit it.
ND has two teams now... as you know. And they already made a new IP... as you know.
That's why I don't get the whole "but they always make a new IP!" They did. It's called The Last of Us.
I never understood this complaint. Uncharted 2 NAILS the shooting imo.
They can have two IP running.Naughty Dog has 2 teams (afaik), 1 already finished giving you a new IP, the other one is likely working on a sequel to one of Sony's (not only ND) successful franchise.
Asking for another new IP after TLoU and dismissing those who likes a sequel of Uncharted is pretty selfish.
Wanting a new IP after a new IP is ridiculous and noone in the right mind will do that if their IPs are a success.
Well in a thread about Uncharted 4 being a concrete possibility as their next project, i don't see people saying they're disappointed as someone shitting up threads. You're definitely entitled to do so, but I think the problem is: at what point does "Boo, new IP!" just become thread crapping noise in any thread about ND? What are you on about? I said they can do whatever they please, i'm free to say why i think it's a bad idea or that it doesn't sound intriguing in the least, to me, as long as i'm respectful and i'm not ranting.Series go up and down. Sequels aren't always better. UC2 and UC3 were also different teams. If they still have more story to tell and want a safe financial bet, they can do that.
They also said they're only interested in doing character based, narrative drive games. Should we be whining they're not doing platformers anymore too?
Same here.I'm fine with whatever Naughty Dog makes.
