What if the Ice Climbers could run in 4-Player Smash, but not 8-Player Smash?

Wouldn't matter, since 8 player Smash isn't in the 3DS version, which was the system struggling with Ice Climbers.

I doubt the 3DS would be able to handle 8-Player Smash.

Or perhaps certain characters were cut in anticipation of 8-player Smash.

Down smashing and up smashing and counter spamming all day. Nothing is more satisfying that killing multiple people with an Ike smash. Does any other move make the kind of boom Ike's sword does when it connects with...pretty much anything?

I could totally see custom play list.


FIGHT THE GIANT! - 7 Players vs One Giant oversized player.

SMASH ZOMBIES! - A sort of survival match where if a zombie character attacks you with a smash or tilt you die instantly. Players can use items and they fall at high drop rates and item attacks kill zombie characters easier. Last man standing wins!

Can we think of some others? I hope the game comes with larger maps, you know... if we have 4 on 4.
