NORMAN, Okla. – The controversial Westboro Baptist Church announced Tuesday that they plan to picket the OU National Weather Center.

Around 400 environmental journalists from around the world will gather at OU for the 25th Annual Society of Environmental Journalists conference Oct. 7 through Oct. 11.

WBC announced on their Twitter page that on October 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., they will picket the “doomed” journalists and the Weather Center to “remind them that ONLY by God’s mercy and power do you gather intelligence on His weather.”

The controversial group says they plan to brings signs like, “God’s Wrath Revealed,” “God Hates The Media,” “Fa* Media Shame,” “God Hates Fa*-Enablers,” “Same Sex Marriage Dooms Nations,” and various forms of “God’s Fury” signs with cyclones, typhoons, tornadoes, and fires.

National weather center is god around here with all the tornadoes we get, especially that close to moore (where the big one hit last time). Also, we have tons of guns.
