What's the worst game currently in your possession?

I've always gotten rid of games I don't want to keep so I don't own a single game I don't like at all, but of the games I have Postal 2 must be the worst. It is kinda so bad it can actually be pretty entertaining, but yeah, it's the worst.

I thought this thread was objectively worst game only when I posted that, Postal 2 is my pick for objectively worst game but subjectively the worst game in my possession is Dragon Age 2. It's the combat, I have never liked that kind overly flashy combat with overly fast animations.

E.T. is a game I own which at least people consider to be the worst. I probably have two dozen weird Z-grade indie games on Steam worse than that though, especially considering the technical possibilities E.T. has to deal with. hashtagaheadofitstime

Some of you are posting absolute gems. It tells me quite a lot when someone posts a game like Horizon, Lords of Shadow, or Killzone Shadowfall.

It tells me that you A) inexplicably really hate a few great games (which is normal), or B) consistently sell back your terrible titles, or C) have such great taste that, to you, those games ARE the worst you have (which is pretty commendable).

Well, you're in luck, ladies and gentlemen. I play a LOT of games and I don't generally sell them back. The worst game in my possession is easily one of the worst games ever made. And, no, I'm not talking about oft repeated gems like Superman 64 or E.T.

The worst title I own is Spawn: The Eternal for the PSOne. It's absolute garbage. It's the most boring, plodding, mess of a title that I have ever had the pleasure of playing and beating. Even now, though, I can't see myself selling it (okay, donating it) because, well, it's Spawn... and that used to mean something.

Think I've got Back to the Future for the NES around here somewhere.

If going by my personal hatred, it's X-Men for the NES.

I've got some crazy unlicensed carts too that are contenders, but I haven't put the time into them to be sure.

I have some truely terrible games. Picking one over the rest would be extremely difficult so the first that springs to mind is is Back to the Future 2 on Master System.

Titanfall 2. A lot of people love it, but I felt like the MP aspect was a massive downgrade and that the SP was just alright.

It's not a terrible game... it's just that I really like the rest of my collection.

This.

Really wasn’t feeling the story. Got stuck in a boss fight and never came back.

I still have Back to the Future for the NES packed up in a box with the rest of the old stuff. It was a Christmas present from Santa as a kid. Ugh, we used to try so very hard at that game.

Wanted to like it but the AI is bad and the levels just feel directionless , after I play a few goes on an FPS games I start to orientate myself within the world. Couldn’t in core

Yooka-Laylee, most likely. I regret backing that game. It’s just terrible gameplay, and the music’s real bad.

My go to answer: Blood Omen 2.

It is so bad a game it's offensive to me it was made at all. Aside from having a good voice actor or two to read a garbage script, the game actually does nothing well. I would wager the worst games in this thread have more to offer to their respective franchises or even just the one title than this game. Every single one will contain at least a couple of redeeming features. Not so with BO2.

I resent the fact that a good game could have been made with its characters and title and now never will be.

I've got many free PS+ games that are probably garbage, and I've likely got some turds for prior gen consoles that I've forgotten about. However my biggest disappointment for current gen games that I actually spent money on is Batman Arkham Knight. I hated the driving so much that I stopped playing early on and never looked back.

When I started collecting for retro systems my friend bought me “Yo Noid” for the NES. I’ve played enough to know I don’t need to play anymore.

The last guardian, this will go down as one of the worst games ever made in my opinion

next is Infamous second son and Thief(2014)

i paid full price for these bile of shit and i couldn't finish them due to how horrible they are

i also own Hellblade which is by far the worst game i have ever completed, and the only reason i finished it is because of the easy platinum trophy

Sad to hear about last guardian. If I’m not trying to platinum it, is it still bad.

Sim City and Rampage World Tour are the ones I think of from my collection.

RWT is really kind of fun if not mindless. You must only have pretty good games.

I keep it.....to remind me of the mistakes of my past

It's right next to this

Not knowing the series at all; what is good about the DMC series? Is 1 worth getting?

Worst game I own on current consoles is easily The Evil Within, its hot garbage.

What’s bad about it? The wife is interested every time we are looking at titles to get.

I had a physical copy of Big Rigs that I got as a gag gift when it came out. I believe my friend paid $5 for it.

I just flipped it for a cool $100 on eBay though, I guess people like collecting bad games now.

Spawn: The Eternal for Ps1. Seriously, google it. Edgy teenage me loved it though, since I had no critical thinking.

Don’t listen to these guys, I think I have nearly all of the games there and pretty much enjoyed them ALL

This was the first game I asked for when getting my first ever game system for Christmas. Then, before Christmas had hit, I learned about game magazines and reviews. Back to the Future got thrashed in a review. I was like, “Uh, Mom? About that game.” Alas, she had already purchased it and apparently couldn’t return it. I was stuck with it. Luckily, I also had Super Mario Bros. and Duckhunt to play on Christmas day.

Really, I was expecting lots of hilarious gems a la Drake of the 99 Dragons or Wand of Gamelon, but most people are posting games that range from mediocre but sellable to widely praised as excellent.

I also have Rings of Power for the Mega Drive. It was the most impregnably obscure game I remember, and back then I was a 11yo with null knowledge of English. which made it much, much worse. I don't know why I purchased it - I didn't even know about the nude cheat. I think I was simply on my "I will buy anything with a dragon on the cover" phase.

marvel vs capcom infinite. Boring roster, weak graphics/presentation and will never bother to pay $$ for the dlc characters.

This is a easy one, "DEAD ISLAND" and why I still have it is beyond me. My friends thought it was entertaining I think it was a joke and the developer should be ashamed of putting it out. At $9.99 I got ripped off.

Thumper...

I usually like rhythm games but this one is horribly boring to me.

Thumper is better in VR, believe it or not. I'm not surprised it's boring on standard displays.

Some people don't know what a bad game really is

The thread title is "What's the worst game currently in your possession?"
I think most people would get rid of the actually awful games, leaving us with the games we're seeing in this thread.

I couldn't think of one until someone listed Killzone Shadowfall. I hated that game. Never finished it. Dumb use of the DS4 touchpad. That cargo container, escort sequence was just stupid. And what kind of private installation protects itself from intruders with cases of exploding, mechanical spiders? Come on. Also the AI was really dumb in that game. There was more than one occasion where a soldier would run headfirst in the direction of my shooting gun.

Wow, the fucking hot takes in this thread hurt.

As far as games I own physically, it's probably between American Idol on the PS2, A Series of Unfortunate Events on the PS2, The Chronicles of Narnia on the Xbox, and Need for Speed: Undercover on the PS3, with Tony Hawk's Project 8 (PS2) having an outside shot.

Not trying to be dramatic but out of what I played, Sonic 2006, Boom, Forces, and Final Fantasy XIII. I'm sure there is worse unplayed, and definitely worse stuff that I've sold, but hey.
