won't fit in many TV stands. that brick
I'm not sure why people keep referring to it as a 'brick'. A brick is considerably smaller and more slimline.
A brick looks quite sexy and elegant in comparison.

Somone photoshop the Xbox One in here...
They did, its just repainted white and is in the background.
Remember when they were trying to make smartphones and consoles as small and elegant as possible?
Well, that was then.
The DUKE is back:
The more I look at it... The uglier it gets.
I don't care how big it is, as long as it doesn't get more RLOD from heat. I've had to replace two 360s and one PS3 because of poor thermal design/manufacturing.
This is a major concern having evaluated the design. Just not enough vents.
joke? The entire top half is a vent.
That's only 50%
I'm a pessimist.
How are people calling it pretty? Looks like a PC tower Dell put out almost 10 years ago.
Are we sure this is the consumer version and not the devkit?
The DUKE is back:
It's working!I'm actually not sure this'll fit in my current entertainment center setup. Between my Sonos and (eventual) PS4 something is gonna have to give if I'm getting a One.
It's more of a testament to Nintendo's cheap assery.Whoa, that GameCube devkit is so much larger than the gamecube ended up being. Dat Nintendo size efficiency
holy shit

Hate the grill on top. That thing will collect so much dust and will be a bitch to clean (like the grooves on top of the original Xbox).
As for the size, I don't know what you people were expecting. PS4 will be similar size, I can tell you that much.
I wonder if they've made it that much bigger because of the issues with the start of the 360 and they're overcompensating
I thought it looked nice during the reveal, but I had no idea how big both it and kinect were
Heat and space. What did some people expect? They are getting slightly smaller desktops that sit next to the tv.
Am I the only person that doesnt care at all what either system looks like? And look at the Wired article, it's not nearly as large as people think. Do people live in cardboard boxes where the size of a video game console is something they need to consider?

PS3: You'll need a second job.No, I live in an Apartment. I'll be moving into a new abode built atop my new Xbox One come the holidays.
It's not horrendously big
Looking at my phat PS3 I'd say this new xbox isn't much bigger, if at all. Looks chunky as hell because of the angles though.
