Why would they let you replace the HDD if the one having problems is the disc drive?Idea. If we make this seem widespread MS may do another 180 and allow people to change hard drives without voiding the warranty.
Really a win win.
For what, exactly?
I'm thankful that I was lucky through both the WiiU and PS4 launches.

What?
Maybe its faulty discs? Combined with super sensitive Blu-ray reader?
Jesus Christ, what happened to consoles that just worked?
Sooooo 4 broken disc drives out of a million units sold and it's suddenly Microsoft is terrible!!!! EVIL COMPANY!!! THEY CAN BURN!!! LOOK WHAT THEY ARE DOING TO THESE POOR PEOPLE!!!
Did I get it right?
DiscGate?
The face of Xbox One.
I've never heard a disc reader produce such noise. What is possibly happening inside?
Tried 4 different games, same scenario. Discs are just fine, too - no scratches or anything before or after. Horrific.
Can you get video? I believe you, but man is that bad luck.Tried 4 different games, same scenario. Discs are just fine, too - no scratches or anything before or after. Horrific.
No one told me there was a Microsoft Hot Fuzz gif haha!Well I guess that's why they wanted you to go all digital
You mean...
OH GAZELLE!
To be up in arms.
This is a small issue. If you live close to a MS service centre, you could be in and out with 20mins. At worst if it effects you, you wont have your console for a couple days. Its definitely repairable, unlike the BLOD.

Wii U, Vita, 3DS... No one wants them.
Yeah, it's nothing you haven't seen before though. I might as well publish it though.
Ehh I'll do it tomorrow. I have to be up in a few hours for work. Really stupid of me to be up this late too. :/

All of those had hardware failure also. This isn't unique. They also had OS issues. The 3ds didn't even launch with an Eshop!
I still don't know if this is a big deal... but i want to know how thoughtsofspeaking is so certain about how easy it is to fix.
Hope it works out, sucks to have spent $1000 just to watch TV,
OH DEER!
The Xbone was meant to play games from the net, not from discs!
Sarcasm aside, serious question... Wouldn't hard disk space be very horrible if MS went down that route?
I've seen optical drives fail like that before. It's the mechanism that moves the laser eye that is failing.
The good news is that it shouldn't harm the disc. The bad news is it's not user fixable, the drive needs to be replaced.
any blu ray can work on xbox one right? i am about to try this cause i bet i got a messed up system
:'( pls no, i can't bear with that.
