Ys: Memories of Celceta Limited Edition announced

Is there a track listing out there yet?

Im expecting Ys1 and 3 to be represented proper

Track list? What's that? ;)

Each game got anywhere from 20-25 minutes of music dedicated to it -- and that's counting Ys III as a separate entity from Felghana, and Ys Celceta as a separate entity from Dawn of Ys as a separate entity from Mask of the Sun.

So expect at least 20 minutes of music each from Ys I, II, V, VI, Seven and Origin, at least 40 minutes of music from Ys III, and right around 60 minutes of music from Ys IV.

Whether or not we hit all your favorites from these games, I couldn't say. I'm thinking we probably did with Ys III, though the Ys I selections are particularly eclectic, so it's far more likely that you've never heard most of the arrangements included.

Hopefully, their novelty (and quality) will make up for anything we may have left on the cutting room floor. ;)

Any idea on whether this will be for Australia as well??

At present, we've only announced plans for a release in our home territory of North America. Other regions may be added in the future, but we don't have anything to announce regarding that right now.

If we ourselves were to release the game elsewhere in the world, though, I should note that it would almost certainly be digital-only -- however, if we could find a publishing partner for other regions, a physical release may be possible.

It's also worth noting that the Vita is region-free, so if you're able to import the North American physical edition of the game, you would be able to play it without any difficulty on an Australian Vita.

Put a preorder down on vgp for the Silver Anniversary Edition. At times like this I'm glad the Vita is region free (and physical games don't fuck with the account stuff).

It's definitely going to be 2013 unless something ABSOLUTELY DISASTROUS happens. I just wouldn't count on having it in your hands until at least November.
If I may hijack this thread a bit, will there be any news on Valhalla Knights 3 soon? Is the September 24 date that's been popping up at retailers reliable?

Based XSEED, anything special a local retailer would have to do in order to get copies of this? I've pinged my local game shop and they don't have it listed but are looking into it, curious if shipments were limited to GS, AMZN, etc. or not.

Yay, VG+ has it now. Pre-ordered. Wouldn't want my other Ys Collector's Editions to sit there without their new brethern.

Looks like they got it sorted with their supplier, I'm all set. My daughters will be excited, they love soundtracks, books and what not.

Anyone know if the LE is up at GameStop? I was just there after work on Tuesday to pick up my Rayman Legends and they still only had the standard sku available.

i'm not a fan of the series, never was, i dont think i'll be
but since YS7, although i missed it, it was attractive but couldn't try it
now , this is another chance, i saw a japanese demo, but it wasn't that much, so, does it mean that the series isn't for me? or should i go and buy this one to try it out?

bravo. that collection of music (Ys ost is so damn good) makes this a great limited edition, instead of the classic shitty "limited" edition that a lot of games are used to get.

preordered.

Anyone knows where I can order this in Canada?

I think they said it's taking longer to work it out with Canadian retailers. Tom posted it on XSEED's forums but some hackers got in and basically deleted their entire forum and I don't remember exactly what he said about it.

The reveal trailer showed some touch puzzles that were required to unlock doors or something along those lines. Maybe those were changed, or Falcom is patching it.

I really hope so as I don't own a Vita haha, I'll wait until the Vita TV is out to play it.

I hope it's safe to assume that if Falcom releases a patch in japan we get it too.

I've been holding off from watching trailers of it, so I didn't know there were touch puzzles

Stop bumping this thread dammit. I've had the game preordered since it was announced for NA and I'm getting impatient...

Vita in NA needs jrpgs.....

Awesome news on the EB pre-order, I'll see if I can get it in-store, otherwise I'll just go online for it.
So hyped for this game, it's pretty much why I bought my Vita.

Sorry to bump this thread, but I just checked my EB Games pre-order and they switched my copy of the game to FIFA 14 for Vita. I emailed them about it, but I haven't received a response yet.

So those you who pre-ordered from the EB Games Canada website might want to check your order.

whoa! thanks for the heads up, mine changed to PROMO: GTA V POSTER 2 - Vita
lol the hell?

Oh snap, thanks for the heads up.
Should we wait on any type of clarification from EB or should we just cancel our order and shift over to Amazon or something?

Also, how do I cancel my order on EB if I don't have an account on there?

...For the record, I personally prefer the PSP version of Felghana to the PC version. But I do seem to be in something of a minority on that one.

I just really like the voice-acting and the addition of "double boost" to the gameplay, both of which are features the PC version lacks.

-Tom

Old post but, the voices were generally great. :) I'm glad there was a lot of it in the game.

Why is this game taking so long to localize?

Western version was announced in January and the game is a year old now.

Xseed has been having a lot of trouble lately locking things down and commiting to dates

So many delays

I wonder what their biggest hurdles have been?

Wait, this still doesn't have a release date? Damn. I thought it was coming out this month.

Probably the only game on my Vita that I was looking forward to that I would have bought on launch day.

I think the script has been done for a while, part of it might have been waiting on Falcom to be available for the programming. IIRC they have had an English build for a little while so at this stage it's probably QA and all the dumb console red tape stuff.

And after the Pandora's Tower mess they probably want to buckle down on their QA and take their time with it. Last I saw (which I think was in this thread) it should still be this year, probably November but who knows.

Forgot to mention that the order page isn't giving me an option to cancel, whereas I can cancel my other orders. I'd suggest emailing them about cancelling.

Give XSEED a break guys. They're a small outfit so things don't always come quickly, but they ways do their best, give us great limited edition swag and always communicate with their fans, which is more than what can be said about other localization companies.

For those asking about Canada, the Silver Anniversary Edition is (finally) up for pre-order at EB Games:

http://www.ebgames.ca/vita/games/ys-memories-of-celceta-silver-anniversary-edition/317734

Haven't seen it on Amazon, Best Buy or FutureShop yet.
Thank you! Gonna pre-order it tomorrow... Rather, upgade my pre-order to the limited edition.
