I don't think it should be any surprise that some people are a bit worried. Z.O.E. 2 was a gorgeous game for its time- and while the gameplay is great, the visual fidelity was a part of the series appeal. People who have been waiting for a sequel have been salivating over what it might look like in hd or close-to hd resolution. The Wii-U, PS3, 360, and even the Vita would offer enough to satisfy these fans because they all represent a full generational advance in graphics. The 3DS, while a generous advance over the DS, delivers (at present) visuals that are still closer to the past generation of home consoles than the current generation. Would a 3DS ZOE be fun? Probably. And I certainly intend to buy a 3DS once PW and Layton show up on the system. But a 3DS ZOE wouldn't play to the visual strengths that the series is known for.

Is it weird that I'm just happy that a new one might be getting made at all? Platform doesn't really matter, it's just the fact that it's happening that gets me excited.

You say the 3DS has 2002/Sub-PS2 graphics. And that it has no analog. I dunno, in my opinion it has pretty great graphics for some titles.

I didn't say it didn't have an analog. I said it has 1, which has been a problem with the last two Kojima PSP games and would be a problem with a ZOE based on 1 and 2. And no I think the graphics are firmly in the Xbox/PS2 gen, going by the games I've seen. I didn't wait this long for the next ZoE to look like it came from that gen. That is disappointing.

Wait, why exactly is MGS3DS shit? Everything I've read says it's a port of the PS2 game to the 3DS, which is exactly what I wanted considering I've never owned a PS2.

ZOE Collection is supposed to transfarr with Vita, so why would they go with 3DS for a new ZOE game?

The 3DS controls just fine. The Revelations demo controls flawlessly and looks better than PS2 games. The analog stick is better than I expected. I don't see what the concern is about. (Well, I do, it's called delusional fanboy claims, but anyway)
