I think all of the off plateau demos are played by Nintendo reps, so maybe they are only allowed to do very specific things. It would be cool if stasis worked on guardians though.
But there are always going to be so many different opinions out there, before and after a game's released. And so many different ideas about what should, or could, be put into a Zelda game. If you listen to them all, you'll end up with Well, I've no idea what kind of game you'd end up with, but it probably wouldn't be a very good one.
Fresh air of being in wild mother nature so being thrown in the open wild and explore/survive i think thats the only logical thing it could be. It references the open world feeling of this game.
I thought Breath of the Wild was just referring to the open world nature of the game, the open wilderness and exploration. Though there's likely to be a story contextual reference as well.
Random thought, I was looking at the new art work for the Goron and Zora and notices the weapon they are carrying. I speculate that at some point in the game, you'll be able to obtain their weapon and those will be unbreakable.

I think so too. We'll probably end up with a permanent broadsword, lance, axe, sword, and bow at some point in the game.
Broardsword - Goron
Lance - Zora
Sword - Deku Tree/Master Sword?
Axe - ??? (Would make sense for the Gerudo to have the axe, since The Gerudo are based off of Amazons and the Amazons invented the battle axe)
Bow - Falco.
What I wanna know is...where's the hookshot!?! Will that be something from the Sheikah Slate as well...?
At E3 they explained that Breath of the Wild is in reference to the game's world and open world nature. They talked about how they thought about putting a subtitle in reference to key items, characters or plot points, but at the end they always came back to the world of the game.
I've wondered if that could be done with a type of arrow if it's going to be in there, but runes are the only other real option with the way the interface works.

Hammer is a type of axe.
Just like the mop is a form of lance. :S
You really think they'd leave out the hookshot? What about the boomerang? The boomerang has been in every single entry in the series (sans AoL and SS...)
I'm gonna be so disappointed if there is no hookshot in the game. It's been my favorite item in Zelda games since basically A Link to the Past. I always get excited when I get one because I know it's gonna be used a lot. Especially the double Clawshot in TP and SS...
Not saying to get your hopes up. But if you are eiji aonuma, and knows that zelda is playable in this game, would you spoil it in a random interview? Or double down on not having her playable and let everyone be surprised if you can?

Just look at the subtitles to all the past Zelda titles:
1). "The Adventure of Link" referred to Link going on a grand adventure
2). "A Link to the Past" referred to entering another realm/past - and also may have something to do with Link finishing what he started ages before, as another Link
3). "Link's Awakening" referred to the fact that
Koholint is all Link's dream
.
4). "Ocarina of Time" referred to the Ocarina of Time instrument
5). "Majora's Mask" referred to Majora's actual Mask
6). "Oracle of Seasons" and "Oracle of Ages" referred to the Oracles in each title
7). "The Windwaker" referred to the Wind Waker baton
8). "Four Swords Adventures" referred to the fact that you can play with up to four players
9). "The Minish Cap" referred to Links hat
10). "Twilight Princess" referred to Midna/Princess Zelda
11). "Phantom Hourglass" referred to the item that Link has which is crucial to both the narrative and also the ending
12). "Spirit Tracks" referred to the train as the main element of the story, as well as things in the narrative
13). "Skyward Sword" referred to the fact that Link's moveset and special abilities are linked to motion control
14). "A Link Between Worlds" referred to the way that Link moves around the world, as well as a part of the narrative
So I'm sure that Breath of the Wild has significance to the game and also it's narrative.

But...breaking conventions! ALttP's real title is "Triforce of the Gods" It was renamed because it had the word "Gods" in it.
I suppose the absence of civilization makes it deserving of the title "wild."
Aonuma's initial "What if Link's not male" comment had no real explanation - he says he regrets saying it, but never explained why he said it. He's not Ono, he doesn't just go WHO SAID WE WERE REVEALING AKUMA
Her clothes are super close to Link's, she has a sword, and her amiibo has a Sheikah slab. Aonuma did not talk about this at all when he was showing the amiibos and quickly moved on from Zelda to the Bokoboblin when he spent like two minutes on every other amiibo.
She also has multiple clothing models, including what is essentially an underwear model, like Link has when he has no equipment on.
Zelda was in development during Nintendo's "Let's put playable female characters in our games because we want to attract female gamers" initiative. You might remember this from 2013 on, they made a real effort to have a playable female character in most of their games. Mario, Tropical Freeze, Pikmin, Hyrule Warriors, etc.
Also supposition, but:
The original rumors that mentioned voice acting and the dungeon structure also mentioned a female playable character. If you did not know that was Zelda, it could easily be misconstrued.

Zelda doesn't have a sword and she has like three outfits. The Champion like outfit that's like Links blue one, the white dress like the one from SS and the more regal blue dress we only saw a bit of in the Life in the Ruins trailer.
How many dungeons will this game have? And if it's the rumored 4, how do the programmers justify that given their previous output, and the fact that this Hyrule will be the largest open world for a Zelda game.

Where is the sword. In my opinion, zelda will battle with link, but i still don't think we will play with her. There is a possibility but i hope that you don't go expecting 100% this.

My friend and I were just talking about this the other day, Zelda's outfit is incredibly similar to Link's and her face and hair are pretty different from other Zeldas, so I could totally see someone mistaking her for a female Link.
Sword I might have been misidentifying. But multiple dresses:
Link-like outfit:
Notice the gold trim at the bottom of the shirt. More importantly, notice it goes over a different white outfit that the white dress.
VGA trailer:
Lack of gold trim.
White dress:
which I am assuming is a non-clothed model because she is wearing it in a storm and also while bathing. Also it doesn't have shoulders like the one she wears a blue top over.
