It is alright, but multiplayer is great, and that is coming from someone who never likes multiplayer.DennisK4 said:How is Carcasonne as a single-player game?

Do you play Monopoly on your own?DennisK4 said:How is Carcasonne as a single-player game?

Yeah, Mega Man was another one I was thinking about, which could be Legends of just a rip off of the classic formula.Utako said:Looking at your avatar, I'm thinking Mega Man Legends might not be bad to rip off. Who cares how horrible it is, we won't be getting anything else!
I think it would work pretty well. I'm kind of surprised they haven't done a Metrovania clone yet.neojubei said:Shadow Complex would be great if Gameloft wants to copy it.
Isn't Aralon kind of like a Elder Scrolls? I thought Sacred Odyssey was Gameloft's version of Elder Scrolls, but I was surprised to find out it was a Zelda clone!Tobor said:Elder Scrolls!
TheFLYINGManga_Ka said:What clone would you like to see Gameloft tackle next? I'd like to see them try Metroid-vania, like a Shadow Complex clone.
That'd work pretty well.
Zzoram said:How do they use your iTunes money anyways? Do they buy stuff for you? I thought already redeemed credit couldn't be used to gift purchases.
They already did it for Java phones - it's called Cannon Rats.Jedeye Sniv said:Angry Birds.
I play all of my board games by myself. I don't have any friends who possess both an idevice and an interest in board games. Some of them I burn out on pretty quickly (Monopoly, Life, Scrabble) because of this (though I loved 1p Monopoly on SNES), but with others I am unphased. Perhaps it's because I've never known the joy of playing with others, but I think both Carc and Catan are a lot of fun as 1p games. I don't regret my purchases at all and both games still played fairly regularly.DennisK4 said:How is Carcasonne as a single-player game?

Carcassonne has a fun solitaire mode and multiple levels of AI to mix and match. It's a very solid single-player game.Cat in the Hat said:It was solely made to play with other people.

favish genres
-turn-based strategy esp non-animu
-board games (carc, ascension)
-wacky games esp animu

Only drawback I see is there are only 3 characters.Pimpbaa said:Why is Tekken Bowl free? Whats the catch?
You should pick up Kard Combat. Tower Mode (and Wired mag on iPad) has gotten me through this vacation. Surprise hit for me.AstroLad said:hey guys--

Thanks guys . . . yeah I would pick up Pirates! too but for the fact I'm on my teensy old-school 3G iTouch.Flunkie said:You should pick up Kard Combat. Tower Mode (and Wired mag on iPad) has gotten me through this vacation. Surprise hit for me.
Pirates! might be up your alley.. maybe. I haven't picked it up yet (or any recent releases, at that) because I don't have any stupid wifi access.

Patriotsbball5460 said:Hey guys, I have only ever posted in this thread expressing my love for Game Dev Story, but other than that, I usually find games on my own. That being said though, I need your guys help. I just got an iPad 2, and am looking for good iPad specific game experiences. I already own an iPhone with the big titles like GDS, Hot Springs, Angry Birds, Cut The Rope, Diner Dash, Civ Rev, Tiny Wings, Madden, Words W/ Friends, Hanging W/ Friends, and some more, but those are off the top of my head. I have heard that Dead Space, and Infinity Blade are both great iPad experiences, anything else you guys got for me?
NH has almost nothing in common with Arkham Horror aside from Lovecraft. It's a solitaire style game with a Clue-like mini-game. It's pretty buggy in its current state. That's the only real problem with it.Horseticuffs said:Necronomicon Horror is apparently a pretty shoddy ripoff of "Arkham Horror", which is a game I'm really interested in buying but want to get better acquainted with to see if it is worth it in my situation (small town, no gaming store, no friends who play, would have to harangue wife and kids into playing). I've read a lot of negativity about NH, but anything Lovecraft is pretty much crack for me.
We've finally submitted the iPhone version of FINAL FANTASY TACTICS: The War of the Lions! And we'd like to tell you the release date as soon as we get the green light.

They already did a Castlevania clone for Java phones, when they were cool and were more focused in porting Ubisoft games than in ripping off games.TheFLYINGManga_Ka said:Yeah, Mega Man was another one I was thinking about, which could be Legends of just a rip off of the classic formula.

At MINIMUM it will be $15.99, like Final Fantasy III.
dark10x said:I fear that, despite the length of time it took to complete, FFT is going to be a mess of a game. I doubt they will support the retina display, the framerate will likely be piss poor, and I'd imagine even the icon will be low resolution. I realize the original was low resolution, but they could at least update the menus and fonts while rendering the 3D bits in high resolution. I'd also prefer if they left the sprites unfiltered in their pixelated glory.
