The big brawl was terrible but the rest of the trip was pretty fun, drunk Mitsuhashi being nice was hardly a surprise but still quite amusing. The best thing was Mitsuhashi's dad though. I hope we'll get to see more of him.

Now that more people started reading Nejimaki Kagyu, does anybody know what happened with Traumeister, Atsushi's previous(?) series? How many volumes did it ultimately get? Last I saw, they stopped scanlating it after chapter 3.

Scans still aren't past chapter 3. The series is 5 volumes long.

LFMAO, poor Imai, always the butt monkey of this manga. Itou must be thankful because without Imai, I don't think he would be able to handle all of Mitsuhashi's antics.

There are some really nice moments in this manga after the initial time skip, but this'll never be a "light-hearted" romance, especially with Shouko's mother around, who is still rightfully mad at Shouya for having her daughter's elementary school years ruined.

Shouko and Shouya's mothers are both pretty great characters. I can't wait to read more chapters

My first exposure to Toriko was the first anime OP which made Terry seem like a main character, then I read the manga and discovered she had less screen time then minor reoccurring characters.

Shame, I liked those 3 chapters. I remember being really intrigued by his art, so when I first saw Nejimaki Kagyu in Japan, I instantly thought of Traumeister. I can't read Japanese though, so I had no idea what the series was called, I only recognized the art. Turns out it was the same guy.

They were probably told dogs don't make series super popular. Not like that fixed anything.

The conflict reminded me of the Alabasta arc in OP and there were even some similarities in the way it was resolved. I was expecting that the prince and princess hooking up would end the conflict but it seems like it will rather happen afterwards, ah well close enough lol

This has probably been the best chapter in a real long while. It finally feels like the story is progressing, also that last scene with Doflamingo looked wonderful.

I'm curious how Luffy saw what Doflamingo did? How the heck did all the Strawhats see Law go down? Was Doflamingo doing this in the middle of town, or somewhere that's easily open?

That's a big sword. I like how fast paced this is, a full-blown war against Xyece was not something I expected to happen so early and it looks like we may find out what's the deal with Nana's past. That said I have to say that apart from the first chapter, I almost forgot about him having extreme amnesia because he sure doesn't act like that.

In all seriousness, I thought the Nana reveal was kinda weak because totally stereotyped and predictable. Thank god his Nanami persona didn't become a thing though, juggling between 3 different personae would have been terrible. Let's see what Mama Shiro has to offer.

Swagmoto is the gift that keeps on giving, I hope whenever it gets an anime adaption they go for 5 minute shorts which I think would be the ideal length.

Well that was a fantastic volume, probably the best so far. Mitsuhashi's revenge at the twins was just plainly cruel and my god Itou's family, I'm stoked that he actually turned out pretty decent despite having a mother like that.

Volume 3 was probably the weakest and most dull volume. I guess Im not one for the hate or revenge going on (not to mention the brother probably did something. atrocious). The son is the most interesting part to that plotline though. I hope its resolved fast.

In any event Atom...if the plot really turns toward seeing an eventual death of him...first time I was gripping my desk as I was reading. When the professor was gripping Atom too as the big event happened, so extreme.

Pluto and Abra were the better done developments, tying it in to the wandering soul part, along with introducing him as a great creator really helped get the series back on track for me. I didnt think Pluto would have different forms or that we would get some aspects of supernatural powers in here (the vessel body bringing flowers to life, then the unexplained body with no brain core unit? (is that actually possible here, seemed like a weak attempt for the characters to explain and accept that which is happening by saying remotely controlled through em?).

Those were some really crazy fights even though I have no idea how most of the techniques work. Love, peace and crossdressing? You're way more down the rabbit hole than I thought you would be Nana. No way Shiro's dead but I guess this could be a way to bring back the real Nana.

Pretty slow start with much of volume one being quite boring. The redeeming aspects are the dark past portions of Yuuhi but resolving it so quickly was odd. I think it would have been a bit better to not have resolved it with his grandfather until much later. The hospital scene was litrally over in the blink of an eye even.

I did think the scene did work on emotions and still makes me care for yuuhi. Though does he truly hate the world?

Hangetsu second best character though. So strong.

Unlike with One Piece earlier today, I have no problem with saying "he/she is going die" the moment they appear (excluding Akame).

Will most likely be the same case with everyone else who appears in this prequel.
