This update really seemed like a 'recap'.

So what was unveiled during the last week we had a boring ass Menu Explanation update?
Tonight's update along with the Iwata Asks segment have gotten me thinking about just how many individual reasons there are that I'd buy Brawl. To say "I would pay full-price for only the multiplayer component" isn't unusual. To say "I would pay full-price for only the single-player component" isn't even that unusual, since it got quite a bit more robust in Melee and will do so to a much grander degree in Brawl. And then there are your people like Amir0x who are fanboy enough to say they'd pay full-price merely because a certain character or stage is in there, but even he's not necessarily a rarity! And yet for me, the truth is, those aren't the only things I would pay full-price for.
I would pay full-price for only the sound test. Any average 2-3 game soundtracks usually run more than that, and might not even have as many tracks as Brawl for raw numbers. I would pay full-price for only the trophies, and the wealth of information to be found through reading about them.* In fact, I would even consider paying full-price for only the stickers. No, really. People buy game artbooks, after all, but it's quite a bit harder to take decent pictures of those and send them around the Internet.
There's a freaking lot of freaking content in freaking Brawl. And I will enjoy every bit of it. Sorry, Sakurai, but even if you are the one saying "its not like I want everyone to play through every single portion of the game," I just can't listen.
*To be honest, I wish Nintendo would release a DS Nintendo Encyclopedia title that just has wads of trivia inside. Make it a "non-game" even, maybe with a quiz format or something, call it "Video Game Knowledge Training" or whatever, and sell it for a budget price. I mean, they've managed to profit from DS cookbook software, so they'd make it work somehow.
Still, there's been nothing that I can remember for the Data menu, and Solo might have some things like Board the Platforms, Race to the Finish, or some new minigame nobody's thought of. (Come on dating sim! You've got TreIII and me rooting for ya!)

Today's update has Sakurai saying he'll introduce each of the six main modes in fine detail... He's already done Vault and Options, but that still leaves Group, Solo, Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, and Data. Of course, we've seen quite a bit of Wi-Fi modes and Group modes already, so those might be kind of filler-ish (though I'm not counting on some kind of megaton coming out of them just yet).vertopci said:

They've reinforced the "You can only save 3 minutes" caveat... I wonder how you choose the three minutes of a fight longer than that? I guess some sort of slider? Can you save just a short segment? It's unlikely, but maybe chunks and highlights?
