Conbini and Pasmo cards though aren't really available here in the States in the same way though imo

I mean the difference between a 7-11 here and 7-11 or Famima or Lawson there is pretty big.

10k is actually a fairly big number considering how little most of MangaGamer's stuff sells. Though the problem for them is that most of their content isn't suitable for Steam (porn). It will be interesting to see how this affects what licenses they go after in the future. Anything to incentivize them to bring over non-nukige is good.

They can just make a non-H Version. Things like Da Capo, Edelweiss, Kira Kira and a lot more VNs dont really need some Hentai-scenes.
