Kaiji is a manga/anime about a man trapped in debt and is forced to gamble in deadly games to try and earn enough money to resolve that debt. This particular VR experience is based on a part of the story where the main character (and others) must cross between skyscrapers by walking on beams.

Japanese developer Solid Sphere has announced Kaiji VR: Steel Beam Crossing of Despair for PlayStation VR. It’s due out this winter in Japan for an unannounced price.

The virtual reality game is based on Nobuyuki Fukumoto’s Kaiji manga series, specifically an experience of the “steel beam crossing” story parts from the “Castle of Despair” arc. Players will become a contestant in the steel beam crossing, taking on the challenge with characters like Kaiji, Sahara, and Ishida. Famous scenes from the original work will also appear.

I didn't even think of this. It seems obvious in retrospect.

This is honestly the only thing I'm interested in VR wise now. lol
I would like a Kaiji game either way though VR or not.

Okay, so from what I can tell it actually integrates scenes and characters from the manga/anime into the VR experience, it isn't just a 'walk over the beam' by itself.

I wonder if 'that' scene will be included. It could be very powerful in VR, but unless you already watched the show and know the context it won't do much for you.

Thanks for the quick summary, I forgot to put something like that in the OP.
