I'm rather disappointed they didn't upload all the press images to the press.nintendo.com site. That would be the logical thing to do and they did it for E3 and some other events. I have a login for that site, but it's been pretty useless for the most part lol.

Major thanks, except, the files do seem jpg compressed, the E3 assets weren't.

Are you sure these are 100% unaltered and are directly from the press site?

I'm sure they actually are, due to them being in codenamed folders and such, shame you can't post the urls of the files... can you? Or are only logged in people allowed to access the .zip urls?

Those are the files on the NoE server, those are all JPEG's :(

and yes it's a personal account so I can't give direct access to that page.

That is the number of the file I downloaded. For example when I select this file first it says:
1_SB4_C_Mario etc. but when I select it the last it says 40_SB4_C_Mario etc. NoE's pressroom is about as shitty as their release schedule.

Metroid comes out in June.
SMG2 comes out in May.
S&P2 out in june.

Europe gets Sin&Punishment 2 in May, with Galaxy 2 in June. Metroid: Other M is only a Q3 title for Europe. Germany doesn't get anything except Greece' bailout costs.

I can only assume that NCL isn't really concerned with the Wii in Japan anymore, and would rather focus on the West (where it's doing spectacularly).

Mostly it's demoing announced games that are mostly for Western appeal... SMG2 will sell in Japan don't get me wrong, but it will sell much much better in the West. No reason really for a Japan event.

I kind of understand that for the most part alot of the stuff shown off is already out in Japan like the XL, Black Wii, and Monster Hunter, but it seems like it was a perfect time to showcase XenoBlade and The Last Story to the Japanese gaming press.

I don't care about Japan. I needed game releases here for crying out loud. It's about time Nintendo stop putting their home country first when it's the western world who purchases their games more.

I want to say it's the calm before the storm, but I'm just afraid they'll do some far-spread staggered release bs with their next hardware iterations with how different they're performing in the three regions.

Yup, this is definitely baffling - even setting aside third parties, why aren't NCL pinning down release dates for SMG2 (which still could just make Golden Week), Metroid etc.? I wondered if there's some behind-the-scenes issues holding up them pinning down a schedule?

Pretty happy with all the release dates/trailers and hands on impressions. Wish we had Metroid footage though..


I now have this horrible feeling that E3 is going to focus on Wii _____ style games. I'm sure either Zelda or the Retro game will be there, but I have doubts that they will be the focus of Nintendo's presentation.
