The record breaking launch of Pokemon Sun & Moon cannot deny the Black Friday boosted ‘FIFA 17’ a return to No1 as it shoots up 2 places from No3.

‘Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’ at No2 also spoils Nintendo’s party by making the most of a Black Friday windfall and ensuring ‘Pokemon Sun’ debuts at No3 and ‘Pokemon Moon’ at No4. However, it is a spectacular launch for Nintendo, combined they would have debuted in top spot. The Black Friday promotions have a huge effect on nearly every Top 40 title with big gains for PS4 games bundled with hardware, in particular ‘Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’ which re-enters the Top 40 at No8, ‘Driveclub’, a re-entry at No20 and ‘Ratchet & Clank’ a re-entry at No25. In fact, it is the biggest week for PS4 console hardware since launch, beating last year’s Black Friday.

This whole business of tracking Pokemon version SKUs individually for sales purposes will never not be silly to me. They're the same game.

Was hoping for a bigger boost for Titanfall 2 - here's hoping the digital discount did it some good, it's online active players has definitly seen a massive increase, on the PS4 atleast.

Surprised witcher complete edition isn't in the top 40. It was being pushed pretty heavy in my local game for a game so old.

Agree. Same goes for Rise of the Tomb Tomb Raider (and its 20 Years Edition) and the whole Minecraft family.

Incredible amount of comebacks and climbs in the Top40... but w/o any percentage is going to be hard/impossible to crack any numbers

Cod could be had for cheaper than bf1. Might have something to do with it being black friday and all. Apparently sainsburys had it for about 25 quid.

Nobody wants the standard version of Infinite Warfare. It's the Legacy Edition with Modern Warfare Remastered that people want, and that one was slightly below full price in most countries now, I'm sure UK had deals on that one as well.

MWR is expected to be a full price game (at least I'm expecting it to be), so getting IW Legacy for below full price is a better deal.

Where's Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (the normal edition)?

#80. Go to the bottom of the page you will find it lol

Legacy edition was £50. That's more than a typical full price game here (~£40). But yeah.

Amazon has Legacy at #5 and #7, standard nowhere in the top 100.

Arround place 30th in US. Alot lower in UK.
But the bundle with COD4 seems to work pretty good. Got a nice discount also offcourse.

That's really bad for CoD.

That's really bad for CoD.

At least it sends a clear message people don't want the futuristic shit. Let's hope Activision listens to that message for future iterations.

I expect another big boost when they make COD4R standalone too. That's what I'm waiting on and most others I know are doing the same.

This only shows they gonna bundle MW2 with the next game so they again sell it at a higher price. Seems to be working haha.

CoD4 doesn't have microtransactions though. That can't be good for Activisions financials. They might make £10 or so more off the game bundling in a remaster but they're gonna lose a hell of a lot more in the long run. AND there is no season pass, despite the game getting maps added post launch (and rightfully so).

I don't think Activision are bundling in CoD4R to make a quick buck, I think they're doing it as a desperate attempt to keep the boat sailing until next years CoD (which is rumoured to be in the past)

Expected. F4 and BW were far bigger titles than DH2 and WD2. COD decline as well.

I don't know but the best comparison for this new Pokemon is Wii Fit second week > 305k.

Alright now Im confused with the number since Eurogamer in their article said it sold more in one day than wii fit in two weeks which is 305k<?

Eurogamer wrote it wrong guys, Pokemon Sun and Moon sold more in one day that what Wii Fit did in 2 days, not two weeks.

From MCV

Sun and Moon are also Nintendo’s biggest ever launch in the UK ahead of 2008’s Wii Fit, selling more on their first day than Wii Fit managed to do in two days. Pokémon Sun and Moon have also sold twice as much as the previous entries in the franchise, 2014’s Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, GfK adds.
